Most LOVED commercials?

Ok, since we've done a most hated commercials thread, I felt it was only appropriate that we do a thread concerning your FAVORITE commercials on the air right now.

I've got two for ya:

That Right Guard deodorant commercial with Randy Johnson and those poor dodgeball-loving suckers (You DO NOT wanna be odor right now!)

And that new Arby's oven mitt ad that spawned my current sig.

Your thoughts?

Honda's "Cog"
Heineken's "The Real Reason They Walked into a Bar"
Snickers' "Grumpiness" ("Does anyone know when the water show is? Someone should put up a sign that says when the water show is!")
Anything with the Geico Gecko

"the name is doo-MAHss"

Adult Swim's FLCL promo

Cartoon Network's "Booboo Baba DeeDee"

the Supermario brothers 3 ad where it was a bunch of people in groups of colored clothes yelling Mario over and over again, the camera panned out and all the unified kids made the face of Mario on the surface of Earth.

there are more, but I have work to do

This is loose, but...

The commercial for Sunny Delight, *I think*, from a few years back.

A mom and her two kids are about to enjoy some OJ, when all of a sudden the cartoon logo comes to life and jumps off of the bottle.

...the mother and her kids shriek in horror and and run away, in the process the mother falls down and the kids plead for her to keep up, but she only tells them to keep going...as the cartoon bounds gleefully towrds her. Maybe that was a sprite ad? I dont know I was in college then so many things are a blur.

Better, tighter, and more coherent commercials to come!

Is it possible to love commercials?

The best one I've seen in a while was "Brad and Alex", an ad for some "premium malt beverage" (can't remember which one). A girl's sitting at the bar, waiting for somebody. A guy sits down next to her, the girl introduces herself as Alex and asks if he's Brad. The guy says no, and the girl explains, "Blind date.". Just then, a big hot red car pulls up, with a vanity license plate "THE BRAD" or something, and the driver swaggers into the bar. The girl sighs and tries to make herself scarce. The guy next to her gets up, walks over to the other guy and asks if he's Brad. "Oh yeah." First guy smiles and says, "I'm Alex."

LMAO!! That was freakin' hilarious!!

The Snickers Grumpiness commercial is high on my list too.

I loved the "BooBoo BaaBaa DeeDee" interstitial that came on CN! I used it to get my older brother out the room when I didn't want to be bothered Shame it doesn't come on anymore.

*Taco Bell dog was cool, even though a lot of people thought he was annoying. For those who don't know, the Taco Bell dog was voiced by the same guy who did Rocko.

*Sierra Mist commericals, especially the ones with the monkeys.

*The commerical with a kid downloading a picture, but can't wait for it to finish, seeing as he has to go to school. When he gets home, the picutre has downloaded 68%, then goes down to 67. He throws the computer out the window.

- The Legend of Zelda rap commercial for the orginal NES game.

- The orginal Mario Bros. commercial (not Super Mario Bros.).

- The Super Smash Bros. commercial

- The banned Xbox commercial where the baby is ejected out a window and ages in the air until landing in a grave.

The Cpt. Morgan one with the song and aerobics as a spectator and the bonfire that can be seen from space.

The commercial for Evil Dead: Hail to the King (too bad the game was horrible)

No seriously I guess the Snickers one with Barky the dog is funny. Oh and the one where the guy is yelling help and then a kid runs into his house and he says, "Oh could you pass me the remote?". I guess the Snickers commercials are all are any good.

Isn't the choice kinda obvious?

My favorite, by far, is John Stamos' 10-10-987 commercials. John Stamos is the man, was the man, is the man.

Second favorite is the old, now no longer run, Pepsi Blue commercials.

CITI credit card commercial

Basically, you see a guy working out on his treadmill. Suddenly, the treadmill decides to stop. When the guy kneels down to see what's wrong, the treadmill starts up again and slams his head into the control panel. Then, to add insult to injury, the tread backs up and moves forward again, smashing his groin against the post before sending him flying into the shelf behind him.

When I saw this commerical, I completely cracked up.

www.stupidvideos.com is a great source for other commercials such as these. They have the treadmill one and the banned Xbox one that was mentioned above.

I forget the name. It was aired only a few times before being banned. It was one of the first commercials promoting the Xbox.

Why was it banned?

Back on topic...
I forgot the name of the hotel (Best Western?) but it has the most coolest background music.
The new Jaquar also has cool background music.
Another one from the top of my head is the (Subaru?) ad where this dud swings out into the lake, freezes in fear in midair, swings back and hits the SUV with a THUD!

- the Allstate ads (esp. the current one with the tortoise and the hare)

- the Geico ads (really, just the ones with the Gecko)

- the Taco Bell ads with the chihuahua

- the "Family Guy" ad that is basically the fight scene from "Lethal Weapons" with a remix of the theme song playing

- the clip show "Futurama" ad

- there was an ad for chocolate milk that I thought was so stupid the first time I saw it, but at the end, it was hilarious (the ad had a package being smashed, shaken and slammed, and when it's delivered, it turns out to be a bottle of chocolate milk packed in ice)

Tienshin: I remember that ad. It was for Sprite. It was funny.

If you go to X-Entertainment's website (x-entertainment.com), you can see lots of cool 1980s ads. I especially liked the Atari, Coleco Tabletop Games, Kool-Aid and Oreo ads on that page.
Other favorites:
Defensive Drills Video commercial that they show on ESPN. It's been on the air for at least a decade, it is so funny because all the kids are doing things in unison and Fred McGriff is endorsing it!

These two Tootsie Roll ads. One was where all of these kids are dancing and everything becomes a Tootsie Roll, and one for Tootsie Pops where the kid asks Mr. Turtle and Mr. Owl about how many licks it takes to get to the center of the pop.

Various Sportscenter ads. My all-time favorite is where they do the show in different languages, but I also liked the Y2K test, the 20-year-old anchor phenom, the table tennis/NBA lottery game, the Tiger Woods gallery, and the live studio audience ads.

Bud Light with Cedric the Entertainer. I really like the Bud Light ads, but Cedric is the best on them.

Miller Lite with "Dick." The old "advertising director" was corny, but in a very clever way.

Super Nintendo. The one with the people walking over slowly to watch the guy play it on a big screen was cool.

Illinois Lottery Highway Chase. I remember back when I lived in Chicago in the mid-1990s that there was a commercial where a large lottery ball is rolling on the highway. I liked that "big jackpot situation," but the ads was pulled.

Those Cartoon Network ads where the actors reenact the station's shows. Like the man who was born and raised in Townsville, I liked that one.

Molson Canadian's trip to the beer store. I saw this ad a few times earlier this year when watching hockey games on Direct TV's hockey program, obviously on the Canadian broadcasts. These men are walking to a beer store with organ music in the background, and these people all stop to see them.

-The Snickers commercial with a line to heaven. There's an old guy in front of the line who is cringing at his list of sins. Then a guy shouts "does this line EVER move?" and then...the clouds open up and he falls from heaven.

-I don't remember what it is for (I believe it is for cameras)...but there's the commercial that airs around Christmas that I find hilarious. Santa is reading a kid's list and is totally confused by the name of the action figure the boy wants ("I have no idea what the heck he is talking about!"). One of Santa's elves comes up eagerly and shouts "horse him!" and he holds up this stupid little wooden horse. There is then a shot of the kid saring at the little horse in disbelief. I laugh no matter how many times I see it.

-And, of course, the "Mr. Dumass" commercial.

Yeah, that was freakin' hilarious!

Know how to treat a lady, and her cousin, and her neighbor, and somebody she kinda knows from the gym? (Background singers: Kinda knows from the gym?)

Okay, maybe it was preverted, was funny!

For years Little Ceasars had the best commercials on the air. Hilariously strange commercials and I'd actually look forward to their next promotion to see what the commercial would be.

a couple.

Man on the street
"I found my wallet!"
(dog flies into arms) "Buddy! Your alive!"
(pants fall around ankles) "I lost forty pounds!"
(girlfriend hangs out bus window) "I WILL marry you!"
(hugs long lost twin) "I have a brother?!"
Then I think he got two pizzas for the price of one to make the day perfect

A bunch of scientists are sitting around a control panel. Another scientist is down in the lab next to a sheep.
One scientist pushes a button on the control panel and a cloned sheep appears.
At that moment another scientist brings in Little Caesars pizza and everyone jumps for joy.
They smash the box down onto the button and keep pounding it as dozens and dozens of sheep appear in the tiny lab. The poor scientist tries to signal for help as he is being squashed by sheep!

Little Ceasars owner driving in a convertable behind a poultry truck.
LC Owner:"I've just gotta think of a new promotion!"
The poultry truck hits a bump and sends a chicken flying out of the back and slamming into the window of the convertable
Chicken: "buck?"
LC Owner: Of Course! Pizza's for a buck! Where do I come up with these ideas!
