Hm....maybe you were simply afraid of pink cats. Heck, now that I think about it, a pink cat creeps me out...(shudders)

....I was never scared of P. Panther, though. Always thought he was cool! Well, never liked that cigarette he smoked in his theme picture...

Pink Panther was a favorite cartoon of mine when I was a kid. I will have to get the DVD.

Yeah, he did smoke, didn't he? Do you suppose in today's world they would try to edit that out of the cartoons?

I don't know...did he actually smoke in the cartoons, or just in the intro to them? (Either way, they'd probably try.)

I still have a very old Pink Panther stuffed animal sitting on a shelf in my room... no telling how long it's been there.

I know he smoked in the intro, which was a lift from the original "Pink Panther" credit sequence. A cigarette in a long cigarette holder. Never made me want to smoke as a kid, but I thought it looked nice.
