Worst show ending ever.

The ending of a show is probably the most important part of it. (Unless it's a skit show that dosen't end) But don't you hate it when the ending is garbage? I'm here to ask, what are the worst endings ever?

Worst endings? wow, ok here we go....

"Sonic Underground"-Virtual Destruction-I got a bootleg copy of this unaired episode, and it STANK on os many levels, cheesy music and it turned into a lengthy clip show in the last few minuets... bad.

"Beast Machines"-Endgame Part 3-Optimus and Megatron merging with Cybertron's core and becoming the heart and soul of the planet, at the same time turning it into a technoganic world. What a mess.

God why could'nt Simon Furman have written that ending?

"Bucky O'Haire": "The Rescue of Comander Jenny" Ok, I LOVED this series, but the ending really could have been better, Officer Jenny is captured, and her rescue apparently results in the end of the toad wars?!!! Blech!

"Skeleton Warriors"-Don't ask.

Outlaw Star and Evangelion(TV) for me. Outlaw Star was an alright series that lost everything going for it in the ending when it made all the characters act out of character, and after using so much filler throughout the show, they had barely enough time to do anything in the ending and killed off what were supposed to be really tough bad guys with ease. Evangelion of course is the pure epitome of choking, since Anno couldn't do his original ending he decided to blow everything off and the show ended without practically nothing resolved.

Since Sheamon already mentioned some of the more famous werid and bad endings in the anime category let me add one more. Trigun. For a series that ripped ass (was really good) the ending left much to be though about. The relationship between Merril and Vash for one, and nothing was explained about the origin of Vash and Knives. This wasn't one of the worst ending but either was EVA.

The ending of Bubblegum Crisis 2040 flew over my head at first, but when I think about all that they've sacrificed to save the world from Galatia, it makes more sence because the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I have A question. I have yet to see the ending of the Evangelion series, so do the movies pick up where the series left off?

Any that end on cliffhangers. It's a crime.

And Evangelion, I mean come on, there were two, and neither made much sense.

Later.

Duckman - A cliffhanger is no way to end a show, especially one as great as this. USA pulled the plug on it. [Gaz]They will pay![/Gaz]

The shows which end with a cliffhanger are definatly the worse, especially if you're a long time fan of the series. Like I said in another thread, I can deal with a show not having an ending episode, but cliffhangers are a real kick in the face. Duckman comes to mind, as do Sonic, Invasion: America and a few others.

The worst ending ever is the series with no ending.

With that said GateKeepers had the worst ending ever I have seen in an anime series.

I couldn't agree with you more. That was the worst way to end a show and a series, especially if there's no follow-up.

Yeah, that really did suck, Sonic and Sally did'nt even get a chance to take thier relationship further after that huge kiss they shared at the end either...it was all left up in the air!

Sonic was axed because of falgging ratings, theIf anybody's curious , I Know who those red eyes belonged to...

Spoiler:
Ixus Nagus from "The Void", he was originally going to be the Third Season's main villian

Actually, the Sonic (SatAm) series wasn't really canceled because of the ratings. (They were a factor, though) ABC came under new management at the time and they decided to target a younger demographic (hence the Disney shows). Had that not happened, there would've probably been a third season.

I'm surprised none of the ASA watchers have mentioned the cliffhanger ending of my favorite show, Pilot Candidate.

Although I love the series, the ending (hopefully this isn't the ending, but you never know) leaves much to be desiered.

ARG! Like the last episode of The Zeta Project! Just when they were starting to get some answers about where Zeta came from and Ro's family, the show ends with a mysterious survivor coming out of the water after the big explosion.
As for animé, I HATED the way Digimon season 2 ended. All the wrong poeple paired up and the whole "everyone is happy and has a digimon" thing was sickening.

This show was a little cheesy, but I think Creepy Crawllers had a bad ending. For those not familair with it, it was based off of a kids toy that let you make jelly bugs. In the show, a boy worked in a magic shop run by a failed magician, Googangrime. Hoping to become like his magic ideals, the boy made an invention called a Magic Maker which looked like the oven used in the toys. The MM got zapped by an evil spell his boss had a cast, giving it the power to make monsters from whatever was placed in it. The first 3 created were friendly and went with the kid, and his boss stole it to aid in his plans of world domination. Ocassionaly, the good guys got lucky and a good monster was created. The last episode was one of these cases. One of the good monsters called T-3 (a flea/human hybrid) was cloned by Googangrime. Eventually, the clone (called T-4) joined the good guys. The show ended there. A very annoying ending

I wonder if the "New ABC Management" is still around? I would wager that the minute the came in, ABC's Saturday morning lineup went downhill.
