Cartoon Network did a line of "Cartoons That Never Made It" bits a few years ago.
...it looks like they're bringing it back.

"Cartoons That Never Made It" was a series of bumpers from waaay back long ago - 1998 at least. You've seen all there was of Frothy Dawg. Besides him there was Rupert the Grouper, who jumped out of his bowl, died, and lay there rotting through his cartoon, and the unlikely romantic couple of Salt and Slug. It seems like there was another one that I can't remember. I'm embarassed to admit I remember this much.

I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one who remembers them.

Yeah Frothy Dawg was a great short, along with all the other cartoons that never made it. Hopefully they'll fill in for Capt. Linger for a couple of weeks, so we can see them all.
