It took a few minutes for me to figure out when the episode first aired a while back. I figure hearing her say 'my husband' was a good enough clue

anime can be strange,ok?! and would you, in this day and age, be shocked if two men got married? she doesn't look female, which makes it more questionable since anime men and women usually look very different from each other.

I can understand where you might be confused, it took me till the end of the episode when we found out SHE had a husband before i knew she was a woman. still that was one of the best episodes ever.

Really? Surprising, people usually bring it up as one of the worst in the series, myself included. I take it you haven't seen The Real Folk Blues, Cowboy Funk, Jupiter Jazz, Toys in the Attic, Mushroom Sanba, Hard Luck Woman and Brain Scratch, just to name a few then

I love VT. I think she damn near well saves the whole episode. I might be a male, but even I was getting really sick of the huge chested anime stereotypes that you find in anime. VT was a big, mannish, but charismatic and rough-and-tumble type character. I thought she was great, and I think you could easily do a whole spin-off series on her.

Thank you, Randomguy! I feel exactly the same way. VT is a great character. And I also like the fact that she doesn't look like your standard anime female.

I reccomend scouring e-bay for a while. You will probably find it, and probably for less than $200.
