If Adult Swim is so popular...

Help me: If Adult Swim is so popular and is doing so (relatively) well, WHY is it only on once a week now? Some of us actually do things on Sunday nights and miss the Thursday slot.

it will get boring if it was 5 times a week. and if it was, then by now, there would have probably 6 re-runs of all the shows. btw, the thursday slot does not exist anymore

yes, i know it does not exist... that was my point. i understand that '5 times a week' would be excessive, but what's wrong with twice?

Once there are enough shows, they can do that.

Right now, the show list is (combining 2 11-minute shows together too):

Home Movies
Baby Blues
Harvey Birdman/Sealab 2021
Aqua Teens/Brak Show
The Oblongs
Mission Hill
Space Ghost
Aquaman and Friends Hour/Adult Swim Specials

That's only 4 hours of television put together. Simply not enough to spread into individual nights.

Yes.

And what about the some of us who are doing something on Thursdays? Sunday is a perfect day to play it. Try taping it if you always do something on Sundays.

if Adult Swim was on every day...

I would be a couch potato similar to that of the space ghost commercial.

I feel the same way about ASA...

I auctually do have a Life (albeit only on weekends) and having to be home by 11 is cramping my style (unfortunately, When I'm at home our two VCRs are in use on saturday nights due to my having a WEIRD family.)

(Personally, I don't Own a VCR as I only have DVDs)

I wouldn't mind seeing ASA replacing the Midnight Run... (Heck I wouldn't mind if ASA became the midnight run as long as they kept the ASA editing standards.)

While I loved (and miss) AS Thursdays, most of my favorite shows (ATHF, Sealab, Brak, and SGC2C) simply don't have enough episodes to re-run that many times. Most of them have been run into the ground already. (I mean, how many times *can* you see Escape From Lepracaunopolis?)

sandoz: Space Ghost has 80 odd episodes. Williams Street just doesn't show them.

I think what they should do is create "encore nights for normal people." Something during the Monday to Friday.

All I know is, I will NEVER get tired of Master Shake saying "His brain is now the control center for the City of the Future!" I can't believe there are still naysayers who say that isn't a true art form.

I think ASA could use an additional night right now. Hopefully in the future AS will be a 7 day a week thing. 1 hour on weekdays and 3 hours on Saturday and Sunday

I think they need a re-run night on Thursdays, but with a different schedule. This is what would work for me. Note that this would take place in July when Oblongs comes in.

10:00 - Baby Blues
10:30 - Mission Hill
11:00 - Oblongs
11:30 - Space Ghost Coast to Coast/Harvey Birdman
12:00 - Yu Yu Hakusho
12:30 - Cowboy Bebop

It would re-run everything that would need re-running (Baby Blues would be off Sunday Nights, Oblongs and Mission Hill would be new, SGC2C would be gone, Birdman would be new, and YYH and CB are the ASA highlights and could use a second run (YYH more than Bebop). But, there's no chance of that happening, so I don't know why I bother.

I'd love to see Adult Swim become popular enough to justify a weeknight block. If it were kept to an hour, half action, half comedy, the number and length of series available shouldn't be a problem. Two days of Mobile Suit Gundam, two days of Yu Yu Hakusho, and a fifth day for other series shouldn't get old too fast. A weeknight comedy half-hour is trickier, but I think it could be done.

Generally, Saturday nights I like to go out, stay out late, etc., and come home only to pass out, & have to wake up to go to church on Sunday morning. (And it's that very bitter-sweet irony that leaves me alone tonight, first time in a looong time). Anyway, this doesn't leave me much time to watch ASA(YuYu & Bebop being two of my current fav. anime's. Well, Cowboy Bebop will always be my fav...but...ahem). BUT guess what? There's a magical machine under my TV, it's called a VCR. Guess that it does? If I use my controller correctly, & input several numbers...it records the frickin' show for me. JEEZE...is that so fricking hard for some people? Same with Sunday nights, which my sister usually has control of the TV on Sunday nights...
