Aqua Teen Theme

Hello! Stumbled upon this site while searching fruitlessly for the actual words to the Aqua Teen theme song (me and my friend have a debate: he doesn't believe me when I say "frylock rockin' like a cop" goes against everything Schooly D stands for). I figured you cats might be able to enlighten me and my misguided friend?

(By the way - New to this whole toon zone thing - How do I change my little picture thingy?)

Hey look! It's Dot! I get it!!

Those are the correct lyrics. It makes sense, since Frylock is like a cop (detective).
And why exactly does it go against "everything Schooly D stands for"? Does he stand for the rest of the lyrics, like a piece of talking hamburger making money and getting the honeys?!

You can't until you've been here 10 days AND have 10 posts or more. Read the FAQ.

Nobody whose life revolves around cartoons has the patience to read FAQ.

In answer to your question, I was merely alluding to the usual relationship between the police and the hip hop community in general. Of course, you have a point: The laws of physics are all suspended when Aqua Teen Hunger Force comes on.

My interpretation of the hard-to-decipher Frylock verse...

But that's what I hear -- I hear a solid "k" at the end of that line, not a "P"

I've done some research into Gangsta-speak too -- that particular term IS used to denote masculine prowness.

Not to mention it actually rhymes with "frylock"

We need Schooly D to settle this...

Hehehe....I'm so immature. Those lyrics made me laugh outloud.

I'm wondering, though, where do you get "Taurus" from? Whenever I hear the song I constantly hear him saying "And I'm a 'tard." Which, as cruel as it is, would make some sense...
Thaaaaaaaa's just me though.

I got "taurus" from someone else's attempt at the lyrics. But you're right -- it does sound like "tard"

"prowness"??? Very scientific of you, Doctor Whitebread. "I am down with the brother men. I am 'hep' to their lingo."

It's actually a common triple near-rhyme:
...Frylock
...top
...cop

It is Taurus. Spoken almost like "toss", not "tore-us".

Way too much time spent on this, but I am an English graduate

Ahem -- no need to call me "whitebread"

You have no idea what "color" I am.

If you don't agree with what I propose, just say so. no need to get into labeling.

Whitebread has nothing to do with color. You actually exemplified it in your response. It bland and somewhat Republican.
It's like a snob saying "I heeear they do thaht sort of thing in the suburbs."

So, it's "republican" now? Another label???

What's your problem, Supreme?

My responses have nothing to do with politics, and I never said anything about what people do or don't do in the suburbs.

I'm talking about how I hear some song lyrics, fer crying out loud. All I've said is that Gansta rappers have used that word. Are you saying it isn't true?

I've also _never_ said that anything was _wrong_ with using that word.

Are you embarrased about the word? I'm not -- I have it on my web page for all to see.

Just what the hell is your agenda?

No, don't answer that -- this thread has gone way off anyway.

Seriously, how old are you? 10? 11? The way that you apply such literal meaning to everything you read suggests that.

That's what I'm saying, is that you purposely or incorrectly didn't put up the right song lyrics. The thing that is wrong with that word (or the words) that you used is that it is (they are) incorrect. Plain and simple.
Your choice of words and your "method" of finding/excusing those words are somewhat questionable.

My apologies. I did not know that you, in fact, wrote and performed the song, and therefore you know precisely what the lyrics are.

I dont see whats so wrong with his interpritation of the song's lyrics. They both kinda make sense.

Thanks, ProdigyCube.

And as I said early in the thread -- we need the REAL writer of the theme to tell us what the lyrics actually are.

Where are you, Schooly D :-)

Somehow I get the impression he doesn't spend his time lurking around Toon Zone message boards.

Well, I did actually take the time to contact Williams Street and verify the lyrics. I was never going on guesswork.

So that is what's wrong with his "interpretation", ProdigyCube.
