Cartoon Network cereal!

Cartoon Network and Kelloggs are coming together to let you vote for your favorite Cartoon Cartoon to be on a breakfast cereal. Really. Go here:

http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/promot...oll/index.html

Most likely the Powerpuff Girls will get the nod, which is a wee bit unfair since they've had their own cereal already. But I'm pretty sure the Mike, Lu and Og cereal doesn't stand a chance.

Well, I voted for Mike, Lu, and Og. Chocolate and coconut for breakfast? Yum!

It's actually ahead of Cow and Chicken. Think about it: would you want pork butt marbits? PPG lead, then Dex, then the Eds.

(Ironically, pork butt is the pig's shoulder. Learned this from Alton Brown last week.)

I voted--

--for the I.M Weasel cereal just because I'm curious as to what a "sour baboon bit" is. "Your stinky red butt killed the dinosaurs!" Though Dex was a close second, as I'm fond of marshmallows....

I also voted for Mike, Lu, and Og. It's the most original sounding one there, the others sound too much like Rice Krispies or Corn Pops or Frosted Flakes. If I want those, I'll buy them in their current form.

I voted for Dexter (because I like the box design and would definitely buy one for its displayability), but my taste buds would much prefer Johnny Bravo's frosted flakes (hopefully, it has nothing to do with dandruff).

BTW, for you cToon fanatics out there, you get a free code for voting: RICEPUFF.

The cereal and the reasons I voted/didn't vote for them:

Powerpuff Girls: I'd really like those. I like brown sugar. But I agree, it isn't very fair if they already have a cereal

Johnny Bravo Flakes: Ugh. Frosted flakes of any kind are my enemies.

Dexter's Laboratory: Can't have cereal-marshmallows

Ed Edd n' Eddy Jawbreaker Crunch: Extra crunchy bits? I hope those are jawbreakers, not.....well, you know.

Cow and Chicken Puffs: The pork-butt reputation doesn't give such a good name to Cow and Chicken cereal.

Mike Lu & Og: I voted for that one. I loooooove coconut!

I am Weasel Wheats: Sour baboon bits? I'm not gonna ask.

Courage the Cowardly Dog: Sma reason as Dexter's Laboratory; the marshmallows.
------------------------------------------------
So far:

Powerpuff Girls: 26%

Dexter's Laboratory: 22%

Ed, Edd n' Eddy: 17%

Courage the Cowardly Dog: 12%

Johnny Bravo: 9%

Mike, Lu & Og: 5%

I Am Weasel: 4%

Cow and Chicken: 2% (guess they don't like those pork-butts either.)

Actually, they're not out yet... this is just a test to see which one kids would like to have out. So if you want the Cow and Chicken pork butts, you'd better get cracking!

I vote for the Powerpuff Girls cereal! Maybe each box will come with chemical X so we can become superheroes too!

i voted taste buds not toon tastes

I voted for the Mike Lu and Og ceral. It sounds yummy and something I might actually buy without a cool toy inside. It looks like most people are voting fave toon. The PPG cereal looks just like dozens that litter grocery shelves already.

Of course the most popular cartoon shows are going to get votes! Kelloggs is marketing an IMAGE. If they wanted to market a good cereal that's new and different, they would go a different route. I betcha Simpsons cereal would sell better even if it had crap in in than, say, Family Guy cereal, even if it had the best cereal ever in it! (And no Family Guy slams now!)

Aww, but slamming Family Guy is so much fun! Espaecially if you're Brainatra. For the record, I too will vote Mike Lu & Og. I like the idea of chocolate & coconut better than any of the other choices, which are already available in other cereals. But... I... LIKE... marshmallows... and... frosted... flakes... Hey! There's an idea. Frosted flakes with marshmallows, mmm, nummy!

Put that man in charge of a cereal company!

Doesn't care for raisins...at least not those hard, lumpy excuses for raisins cereal companies always stick in...

I've been doing that since college--putting mini-marshmallows in my cornflakes. Same with raisin bran--it's the only way I can eat oat bran, which by itself is vile and plain. Grape Nuts are the worst...they resemble hamster droppings, and I imagine the flavor isn't too dissimilar.

Oh dear, I've just blown my big chance haven't I? Eh, I'm more geared toward the sweet stuff. Just yesterday I ate two bowls full of some frosted Cheerio's knock-off, same story the day before with Apple Jacks. Finished both boxes, & I still have the AJs box; haven't gotten the codes yet. Tho what I'm going to use the codes for as I'm no longer in school, I dunno. Oh well.

What cereal ended up winning? Yes, I know this thread is from like 4 years ago, but nobody announced the winner.

The Powerpuff Girls, of course. I still have the images from that event.
