PBS orders a new season (26 episodes) of the animated series WordGirl

from Scholastic Media for the PBS Kids Go! programming block. Produced by Scholastic Media's animation studio Soup2Nuts, the new season will bring the total number of episodes to 78.

agreed, this show is hilarious and way under-rated if only because its on pbs. Its one of the better animated comedies, outside of fox's prime time block. I'm glad it got another season

Why am I'm not surprised it's another one of those type of shows I wouldn't see.

If only PBS was a little more adventurous with it's cartoon acquisitions. I remember some years back when WNET bothered funding the first six episodes of "The Phoenix" but not the rest (guess they saw where that went).

Great! Besides Arthur, WordGirl is the best series on PBS Kids GO!

This show is pretty much the PBS version of Wow Wow Wubbzy, and I like both shows.

I knew this already, but great news regardless.

This is the best and smartest cartoon PBS has ever aired.

Eh? The two shows are not even remotely alike.

Wow! I didn't know that so many people liked the show. I mean, I really dislike it, but maybe I should try watching it again.

A new season of WordGirl = WIN. One of the few educational shows that doesn't insult kids' intelligence...

From what I've seen, one of PBS' best cartoons (along with Arthur and Cyberchase), even if a bit cheaply-animated.

Nice spoof of superheroics (and incorporation of vocabulary words).

That's great for a great show. I don't care about the vocabulary but it's fun to watch. Better than "Martha Speaks" which teaches words in a boring way!

more please!

I love this show. A smart cartoon. man I haven't seen that type in a long.. long time.

maybe what we are looking at here is the beginning of the next "insert rare metal here" cartoon age. ( I can hope can't I?)

anyway Glad to hear it's been renewed. Hopefully it can gain even more attention.

This show is actually pretty good for the most part, so I'm not surprised.
