The wonderous technology of the day wasted on a 30 minute drug reference. That's too bad.

So many 80's revivals...so little time...

I wonder who will distribute it and produce the animation?

Wouldn't it be great if their could be more Peanuts specials on DVD?

I am surprised it took them long enough. As from what I have read, the Smurfs are still popular in other countries and have never needed to "come back" because the fans never let them go away. Of course, I don't know, as I don't live in any of those other coutries, I've just seen some of the pics of foriegn Smurf cartoons and books on the Internet.

I liked watching "Smurfs" for a little while, until they started adding Scruple and Grandpa and Grandma Smurf, and they learned how to use computers for the backgrounds (that was about '86, I think). I almost stopped watching when they dropped the "Johan & Peewit" segment in favor of another half-hour of "Smurfs" in '83. (I miss Johan, Peewit, and Princess Sabina, and I especially miss that stuffy old hag, Dame Barbara!)

BTW, did you know that Jennifer Darling, who did the voice of Princess Sabina, is also the voice of Princess Ayeka in the "Tenchi Muyo" series?

I'd love to see the smurfs again, but I don't think I could ever see it in 3D. There's something about the origanial animation that made it special for me.

AAAAAAAAH!!!

Though for some reason the idea of 3D smurfs revives my hopes for "Lemmings: The Series."
