Stitch! anime coming to TV-Tokyo in October 2008, replaces Bleach.

Still not a whole lot of information regarding the Stitch anime, but I thought this piece of news would be interesting for some people here.

At anyrate, Disney & Madhouse's Lilo & Stitch reimagining, Stitch!, will be airing on TV-Tokyo and affiliates come this October 2008, and will air on Wednesday at 19:30 (7:30PM). It will be airing on the Japanese Disney Channel as well. Still no staff announcement or the exact date for when it'll go on air was given.

However, this also brings up the news I'm not quite sure will be good news. Because of the timeslot Stitch! will be airing in, it will be effectively replacing Bleach (which starts at 7:27pm). Bleach has had timeslot changes in the past, and that isn't a lie. However, given how the ratings for the anime have been in the past and they keep dipping from high to very low, there is a good chance the anime may be ending.

Information was taken from Moonphase's recent update for the Stitch!.

. . . So yeah.

Disney fans must be laughing their heads off.

Bleach over? Before the manga? I hear panic commencing.

If there was a sign that Bleach would be ending. Then this would be the sign.

This explains the filler arc that they are doing now.

It also explains why the real arc that we should be in ended so abruptly like that.

Although, isn't there a third Bleach movie coming out? They don't usually put out movies when the series is about to be over.

...Unless...The Bleach crew is taking the FMA route and making their own ending in the form of a movie. (The movie is called "Goodbye, Rukia," so...yeah)

When filler happens, it is usually to let the author cover more material in the manga...I hope the show is moving and that this isn't Rurouni Kenshin's anime all over again.

Ew. I may not be into Bleach but seriously, if it's ending so abruptly... Ack.

The final Inuyasha movie came out about six months after the series ended.

The arc ended adruptly months ago, though. There's a possibility that the Bleach people have an ending in mind if that is indeed what is going to happen.

I think everyone's jumping to conclusions. Let's wait a little longer before we say Bleach has been canceled/or filler ending.

There don't seem to be that many Bleach fans here. This thread's only had ten posts, oddly, and when the dub ended, there wasn't a lot of outrage either. Me saying that this might mean Adult Swim Action might be gone within a year was the closest to the doomsaying of people like RomanMack when One Piece's dub was pulled off the air.

I recall some outrage, it was just tempered by the observation that the ending of the dub wasn't confirmed news.

Wasn't it from an actor in the dub? It may be a situation like Eureka Seven, where... I think it was Bosch? said that the dub was cancelled, but it really wasn't, and it finished anyway, but somehow I doubt that'll happen this time.

Yeah, but it was pointed out that there's still time for Viz to schedule more dubbing. That they haven't yet decided to dub beyond episode 104 doesn't necessarily mean that they won't.

Wow, Bleach anime might be ending? Well, considering the quality effin' animation we've been getting and fail!filler's it's not a big surprise.

Kind of a relief really.

Although they might be just moving it. :P

Wow it might ending? That's really not cool including the fact that the arc showing right after the fillers is post to have
Spoiler:
KENPACHI FIGHTTT

Great well.. I guess the final arc is about stupid sword ninjas if this is true. DANG IT NARUTO!

But wait hold on Naruto has moved time slots before when it was in fillers as well. So this could be a normal time slot changed then >_>.

Bleach is still a mainstay on TV Tokyo so it can't be ratings.
It's a executive decision.

Maybe much like Hunter X Hunter and Prince of Tennis, Bleach can continue in form of OVAs.

And why do you say this? Bleach use to easily get in the 4.0s back in early 2007. Now the show is lucky to get in the 2.0s.

2.0s are still nothing to sneeze at though, certainly enough to make it worth keeping in a different time slot.
