SOMEBODY had to tell them that not all were pleased with what the Rugrats had become, even if that message was in the form of a certain sponge that lives under the sea.

Most of the characters on AGU had very little, if any, real personality. Tommy's a bland shadow of what he used to be in Rugrats. Kimi could've been a decent character, but she has no definite personality either. In season one, it seemed like they tried to portray her as a bit of a rebel (ep."Bad Kimi"), but now it seems like they don't really know what to do with her. Susie is pretty irritating in AGU. She's either a boring Goody-two shoes (wanting to attend Harvard) or has aspirations to be a singer. It seems like they don't know really what to do with her either. I never was a huge fan of Dil either. When he's not angsting over something Tommy did, he's pretty much portrayed as the "wierd" one in the group. IMO, Angelica is the most amusing character in AGU, even if she is a bit stereotyped.

Bottom line is the show has too many characters, correct? Theres not enough personality to go around and the rest just HAVE to be there coz they showed up in Rugrats.
Not to mention the addition of sub characters one eps after another doesn't really make it any prettier.
