Sorry for taking so long to delete that thread. I found out not ten minutes ago about this thread. I assumed that, like myself, the other mods were busy (It's Friday - of course they'd be!) and the thread went unnoticed. Batmite has been banned until furthur notice. What he said was unacceptable. I urge everyone to read the rules, and I may now consider altering the board formats so everyone has to read the rules before coming here or even posting. While we Canadians are nice (heh) will also make sure people follow the rules, and will punish those who can't follow the amazingly simple rules of this place. Again sorry for taking so long to catch this.

Most of that stuff he said was insulting, but harmless. However, the saying someone should die was irresponsible and threatening. While he wasn't as annoying as some of the other folks you had to ban :cough:Z:cough:, you just can't let that wishing someone dead stuff go on. I appreciate your banning him DG. Also, it was kind of you to let the poster who dropped about 8 F-bombs, go with just a warning. He just got worked up!

I think all of us were tempted to lose it just a little bit last night with Batmite. I might have gone a little over board too, but I just realized Batmite was just seeking attention and found all the replies funny and it just encouraged him more. If somebody like that makes their way to the boards in the future, I think the best thing to do is ignore them. The only thing you can do with people like that is just ignore them.

Some kid got on with no respect for anybody or anything and made trouble is all. Not much else to report. He was asking for a booting to, saying he didn't care and basically brought it on himself. He even went so far as to repost a thread that put down a couple other members after it had been deleted once by a mod. He was asking for it.

i think i've said that i've been gone eenough, but Im just totally clueless on what's been going on. Is it me or am i never around when things like this happen?

btw, there's this whole other thing with z. as far as i know, he has been technically unbanned.

I'd also like to appologize. This past weekend I hit a few snags. One of which halted the use of my web browser for a few days, after deleting Batmite's first post (the previous one being a lighter clone versian). Boy was I ticked off. But anyhow, I appologize for not being able to act as my other mods have.

yeah i missed this too. hes one of my friends(out side this board) and i would like to know what all happend cause i was away out of state with no access to a computer when this happend.

Basically, he was doing the modernized version of a prank phone call - he got on and posted a couple of things to get a rise out of people. One of them was an insult thrown Mxy's way, and the other was a thread that started out being about how he thought Angelina Jolie was unattractive. The Tomb Raider related thread turned into a series of insults at the various posters on this board and one or two comments saying something along the lines of "so-and-so should die". When warned by the posters that he was going to get banned for posting those things, he basically laughed and dared the moderators to do so, and then called everyone here pathetic, etc. He later admitted in the post that he was trying to get people angry "for fun". Obviously, most people didn't find it fun.

I've done things like this in the past, but if your friend wants to do it in the future, just tell him to get AOL and go to the private chat rooms (and it is real easy to find one. Spend about five minutes typing in different names for girls as names for the private chats and in no time you will find some girl having a private chat with some guy, proabably her boyfriend, and you pretend she invited you, and then watch the sparks fly! I have probably caused a few break ups! Glad to say, those were in my younger days and I don't do stuff like that any more!) and blow his steam off there. AOL's private chat rooms have NO RULES whatsoever. You can get away with anything there.

It can be rather fun to do stuff like that, I know, but tread carefully where you do it, that's my best advice. I would be a hypocrite if I was totally angry at Batmite for what he did on these boards, but this just wasn't the right place for that kind of behaviour. There are chat rooms and boards where behaviour like that is over looked.

For everyone who went thought it, you definatly deserve it. But still, it's over with so I'd rathar just push it by.
