Alone in the Night (Sequel to Rising From the Darkness)

This is the sequel people! This first chapter, must I say is, God horrible in my opinion, but it'll get things started.

Raven sat on the couch, cross legged reading her book. It had been almost 4 years since Jake had left, and the Tower wasn’t the same without him. I mean, they were the same way before, but it was still hard to adapt after you had adapted to him being here. The Titans never spoke of Jake much. He seemed to have just…faded away. Cyborg and BB dashed into the living room.



“Boy! You think you can beat me again!?” Cyborg yelled.



Think? I KNOW I can beat you again!” BB replied.



They began playing the Game station furiously. Raven peeked up from her book, annoyed at all the voice they were making.



“Hey Guy’s, Can you turn up the volume. I can’t hear it one bit.” Raven said annoyed.



“Sure!” BB said. “No problem.”



Beast Boy turned up the volume. Raven shook her head.



“Beast Boy, I wonder…if you have the slightest bit of a brain.” Raven said.



Raven turned back to her book. About the same time, Robin walked in seeming a little bit frustrated.



“I still do not see how you drive your so called cars.” Starfire said confused.



“That’s okay.” Robin said. “Just stick to flying.”



Cyborg finished up the game, beating BB as usual.



“I saw you use cheat codes! BB yelled angrily.



“Man, just because I kicked your butt, doesn’t mean I cheated. I’m just so much better.” Cyborg shot back.



Then, the Titan’s heard someone outside. The Titan’s flung towards the door, and got ready to fight. Robin flung open the door.



“Who are you and what do you”-



The Titan’s all stood still, their gazes transfixed on the person standing in the doorway. It was Jake. Jake looked at all of them, in the position to fight.



“Um…am I not welcome here anymore?” Jake asked.



Jake shrugged. None of them moved.

“Did you guys miss me?” Jake asked. Hi Raven!



Jake kissed her on the cheek. Raven didn’t expect it, and a chunk of cement from the ceiling landed on Jake’s head.



“Ok…won’t…do that…again.” He said.



Robin snapped out of it.



“Why’d you come back?” He asked.



“I told you I’d be back, and I just missed the place.” Jake said. I missed you guys.



Jake settled in. He walked to where his room used to be, and opened the door.



“Hey!” He said excitedly. “It’s still here!”



“We knew you’d be back someday, so we decided to keep it.” BB said.



“Thanks guys.” He said.



Jake unpacked his things, and his room looked just like before. After he finished, the alarm went off.



“Titans, Trouble!” Robin yelled.



Robin ran past Jake.



“Am I still welcome to come with?” Jake asked.



“Anytime.” Robin said.



Jake smiled, pulled out his board, and ran with Robin.

AquaGirl15 told me that when Jake first kissed her, it seemed kinda fake casue Raven's emotions didn't do anything, so to do something to make up for it, CEMENT ON HEAD!

Cool. Maybe he came back to fast. I don't know, but I did like how you made all the Titans think that Jake was someone else.

Thanks. Glad you liked that.

About his return, too fast? I had another idea, where they were fighting (Some villian, I never really thought it through) and were getting thir butts kicked, and Jake would come in to help them. I chose to make him come back immediatley.

Before anyone asks, I made Jake 13, (Maybe I didn't post it) in my first fic, so it's been three years, almost four, so I'm gonna make him 16. That may not have needed answering, but I just wanted to mention it.

no, that wasn't the problem. This, like many other chapters I've seen, moved at sonic speed. 4 years undone in 5 minutes. I think you had the outline in your head and wanted to get it all out before you forgot it, so you rushed. No biggie, but this chapter deserved to be several thousand words, not hundreds.

Like I tell everyone else-write more!

Don't be long winded, but things should move at a believable pace.

Still, a good start.

I never get a point until someone tells me my wrongs, so I'm gonna say thanks. In my next chapter, I'm thinking about unraveling the 4 years, and explaining what happened while he was gone. Also, I'm still thinking about how to bring in the main villian, and who it should be. Thanks for the feedback guys!

very good start i must say! it was not bad!!! but Terra did the same sort of thing and Raven didn't trust her right away. oh well that will make it smoother so your story will make more sence.

Me like! It did feel rushed, but that's okay for the first chapter. Just make sure it's not consistant. I laughed at the cement thing, that was kinda funny.

HERE YOU GUYS GO!

The Titan’s got to the scene immediately. As they approached, a building exploded in a flare of purple light. All around, flames could be seen. The flames were a dark shade of purple, and were engulfing everything in sight. The fire had started inside a small building.



“Titan’s, Go!” Robin yelled.



The Titan’s sprung into action. Raven approached a fire hydrant, and muttered her usual words.



“Azarath Metrion ZINTHOS!” She yelled.



The head of the fire hydrant flew off, and water flowed out of the hydrant, putting out some of the flames. Because they were close to the ocean, Jake used his powers to lift up a small tidal wave. It crashed onto the surface, and flooded the flames. Starfire and Beast Boy ran inside and looked for any people trapped inside. They entered, and looked around. BB spotted a woman on the ground, unconscious due to the smoke. BB morphed into a Pterodactyl, and carried the woman out. Meanwhile, Starfire continued her search.



“Hello?” She yelled. “Is anyone here?”



A large part of the roof collapsed, and nearly missed her. She yelped, and flew quickly towards a door. She came to it, and placed her hand on the knob.



“Starfire! No!” Beast Boy yelled running back in.



But it was too late. Starfire had swung open the door, and is seemed as if a bomb exploded inside. Fire flared out of the room, engulfing Starfire.



“NO!” Beat Boy yelled.



He began to run in, but a hand landed on his shoulder. It was Cyborg. He rushed in, and pulled her out. He was unharmed thanks to his metallic suit, but was burned slightly on his human side. Beast Boy grabbed the last two civilians he saw, and the Titan’s rushed out. As they approached the exit, the ceiling collapsed, and blocked the doorway. Cyborg transformed his arm into his sonic cannon, and blasted through.



“We gotta get outta here!” He yelled.



The Titan’s rushed out, and took the civilians away from the fire. Cyborg put Starfire down lightly. She was burned badly, but she seemed like she’d be okay.



“What happened?” Robin asked rushing up.



“She got hit by flames.” Cyborg said. “She’ll be fine.”



Raven and Jake finished putting out the fire after a few minutes, and all the Titan’s stepped back.



“Good job team.” Robin said.



“Do you have any idea who set it?” Jake asked.



“No idea.” Robin replied.



“And why were the flames purple?” BB asked.



A thought popped into Jake’s head, but he shook it off.



Just then, a light began forming inside the building. It kept growing until the whole building was filled with purple light. The, it exploded, bringing the remains of the building to the ground. Then, a figure seemed to come forward from outside the building. There was so much smoke, that it was hard to make out what it was. Jake walked closer, and squinted his eyes to get a better look. Then, his eyes widened, and he stepped backwards. He slowly walked back, until he tripped on a rock, and was sent backwards. He landed, but kept inching back.



“No.” Jake muttered. “There’s no way. Just no possible way.”



The figure stepped forward. Its features were made visible. It looked like a black skeleton, but he was surrounded in purple flames. The flames seemed to form a body, but the bones were still visible. Jake’s gaze remained transfixed on the figure. Then, it spoke.



“Hello Teen Titan’s.” It said.



Its voice was robotic, metallic like. Just his voice was enough to send chills down your spine. Jake grabbed his head, and closed his eyes tightly.



“IT’S NOT POSSIBLE!” Jake yelled. I DESTROYEDYOU!” “YOU CAN’T BE REAL!”



“Oh I’m real Jacob. Realer than you can ever imagine.”

ok...realer is not a word. just so u know. that was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo evil! that was like the worst cliffhanger in the history of cliffhangers! EVIL!!!!! POST MORE OR SUFFER!!!!!!!!
