A portal to her mind (teen titans Fan Fic)

Look this is my first fan fiction and honestly i didnt want to post it, i hate having other people read my work.... but anyway here goes nothing...

Chap 1

Pain, death, murder. Horrible thoughts flowed through out Raven's mind, thoughts of her past. Then she woke up with a gasp. She looked around the room and calmed down. "Just a nightmare" she murmered. She looked over and it was 5:43 she got up off her bed, grabbed her cloak and belt and headed for the living room.

She was the first one up, that was usually the case every morning. She walked over to the bookcase and picked out a large leather bound book and started reading, After about 15 minutes, she couldnt seem to concentrate, she looked up and saw Beast Boy standing in front of her staring at her with one of those "u need to get a life" looks. "What?" asked Raven slightly confused. "Is that all you ever do, read and meditate?" replied Beast boy. "Why?" asked Raven "It just seems so boring. Do You consider it fun?" "Honestly no," replied Raven "but there's not much else i can do, practically everything else requires emotion." "Oh" he said walking away. Raven went back to reading, or tried. and Beast boy noticed she couldnt concentrate, so he tried to start a conversation, one that would let him get to know her a little bit, none of the titans knew much about her, she was always so quiet and secretive. "have you ever been able to have emotions?" he asked. She looked up a slight hint of sadness in her eyes and then it vanished. Her only Reply was "once, i tried" then Beast Boy, knowing it would be a big jump asked, "what Happened?" but this time Raven didnt look up, or respond, but Beast Boy was slighlty expecting that, but trying to be more careful, this time he said "well would it hurt to try again?" then Raven Closed her book and left to her room, on the way she said "yes, and in certain cases it could Kill" and then the door shut. BB slaped his forehead, "is it just me she doesnt like or am i extremly bad with making small talk with dark and creepy people?" "I think its the first one" said Cyborg walking in, U know we all want to try getting closer to her BB especially Star, but i think from now on stay away from the subject on her past when u talkto her...

It was only a matter of time before Sprox posted a fic, and now it's finally happened. RAVEN BASED FICS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!! This one looks promising.

My next fic will be centered on Raven and a new character.

yeah dude this is a good start. i also hate having others read my work... but you shouldn't worry about sucking cuz this is very nice .

thanx but now there is a slight problem... i have writers block all of a sudden...

totally normal- maybe make something weird happen or introduce a new character. thats what my fav author's advice is (Tamora Pierce). and if you haven't read her books you should- ALI, DAINE, and KEL ROCK!!

OK, helpful hint time. no offense meant, I'm just offering some writing tips.

1. paragraphs
2. type it in word
3. write more per chapter (i like this story, I hate reading 20 second chapters)

But this is really better than most of the other fics here. Nice work!

who else loved the new episode? best ending to any episode, in any series, ever!

I agree. Read what I posted in All For Nothing.

I also agree that 20 second chapters are annoying, but its better than the 20 minute chapters in "Winds of Fate-X Factor"

so far on this site i have seen 3 types of fics
1)new characters
2)starfire/robin relationship
3)raven
i have seen very few purely starfire
and no beastboy or cyborg
ofcourse i'm not sure about rrarbecy's story

but don't understand me
i am certainly not conplaining
i don't care what kind of tt fic it is as long as it is one

please sprox

i would have but my word is cheep and i also hate twenty second chapters i had a great story on my mind, but when it came time to write it, it didnt come out so well.... but thanx anyway ill do the paragraphs next time!

i dont think this chap is gonna be to good i wrote it in 10 minutes i got a wedding to go to now!

After Raven left, Cyborg gave BB the evil Eye and he went to go cook breakfast, behind him Beast Boy yelled "TOFU WAFFLES!" and then the day began, starting off with Cyborg and BB all ready arguing. Robin walked in looking extremely tired and yelled "WHATS WRONG WITH YOU?? ITS 6:30 IN THE MORNING!" he sighed and walked over to the kitchen with BB and Cyborg to help them figure out what was gonna be for breakfast. About 5 minutes later Starfire walked in, happy as always.

The day went on and Raven was no where to be seen. She hadnt come out for breakfast, or lunch, only to help the titans stop Cinderblock. After cinderblock was taken to jail, Starfire asked "where have you been Raven, you did not even come out to try my new.." and then she was cut off when Raven opened a portal and walked in, leaving starfire talking to herself. All the titans looked at each other and shrugged. at the Titans Tower Cyborg turned to Beast Boy, exactly what did you two talk about this morning? Beast boy shuffled his feet. "I dunno, i was just trying to get to know her and well i guess you can say we went to the subject of her past..."

"Look, I just asked her little things like if she was ever able to have emotions," said Beastboy. "Well there is alot you guys dont know about her past, try stayin away from that subject, everyone." said Cyborg" there's alot We dont know about her past?" "Cyborg do you know something we dont know?" asked Robin curiously "no" he said quickly and walked away. Robin and BB eyed him curiously and glanced at eachother. "Cyborg please, we wish to know Raven more to become closer friends with her." star said then Cyborg sighed, "i dont know anything really, just that she had a cruel past..."
