Looney Tunes on DVD petition

I know that there may be people who come to this board that don't go to the Termite Terrace Trading Post board, so I am going to post something here originally posted by Thad K. there...

Animationondvd.com is hosting a petition to get these classic cartoons on DVD. Keith, who runs the site, says we only need 5000 signatures (the successful Willy Wonka petition got 10,000 signatures!) to get Warner's attention. So please do whatever you can to help. Sign it, post up banners for it on any websites you have, do whatever you can to advertise this, support it, tell others whatever.

Since Monday, the petion has gotten 1000 signatures! I know we can get to 5000 with the help of you all!

I'm one of millions of people who signed the petition. My only hope is that most of the cartoons that have been butchered over the years (Including The Scarlette Pumpernickle, Big House Bunny, and Drippalong Daffy) will remain intact when they make their DVD debut. I do remember some Loony Tune videos saying that the cartoons are uncut. So I guess Warner Home Video's policy is A little more relaxed than TV Standards & Practices. (Except for that whole Return Of The Joker debacle, but they'll forgive us this coming April with the original cut.) However, On the "Tom & Jerry's Greatest Chases" DVD, "The Little Orphan" had a scene removed. (I belive it was a blackface gag.) Ironically "Yankee Doodle Mouse" and "Mouse in Manhattan" have the Blackface gags intact on the disc. So we'll see.
