Roadkill Rodney's from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"

Today I bought a copy of the first season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I must say, the Roadkill Rodneys are cool. I wodner if there were ever any plans to bring them back past the second episode. After all, there was at least one remaining robot after the turtles defeated some, even if the turtles did destroy them all, I assume that more could have been made (like the Foot Soldiers). It would have been cool if a Roadkill Rodney toy was mad ein the action figure line. Rope-shooting action would have been a cool feature, though it would have probably been hard to find a way for the rope to shoot and and tie up other characters.

It's a shame that they weren't in more episodes (ditto with the Mousers, who were in nearly every incarnation of the franchise, movies and "Next Mutations" excluded). They seemed to appear in almost every video game based on the original series, except for the first NES game (I have never played any of the Ninja Turtles games for Game Boy).

Uhhh...mousers were in the first NES game. One of the bosses was even a giant Mouser that dropped out little mousers.

Anyway, where did the name Roadkill Rodneys come from anyway? I don't recall that name ever being said in the show. The first time I saw the name was when I read the instruction manual for the second NES game.

I meant that the Roadkill Rodney's were in almost every game except the firs tone. I know that the mousers were in the first game. And I think the instruction book manuals are the only place where Roadkill Rodney's are referred to by name.

I'd say the NES game was based off the comics, except for the bosses though since Bebop, Rocksteady, and the Technodrome were never in them. For the movies, you can see the change from comics to cartoons with Shredder. He wears red in the first one, and in the 2nd, wears purple.

I'll say this. It did seem like after the first 5 episode mini-series, Shredder and Krang disregarded a lot of the technology that they had available in the technodrome. It even seemed like they used the foot robots a lot less. Every episode just kinda seemed like it was just Shredder, Rocksteady, and Bebop. I would've loved to have seen more of what technology they had available to them (like the Rodney Roadkills/Roadkill Rodneys, whatever they were called).

Oh, yeah, they also had those little helicopter things. Though, I seem to recall that they only shot machine guns in the first arcade game(and the NES port). In the show they just had cameras and didn't seem to be able to attack.

As long as we're on the subject of the Foot Clan's robots, where those boxing robots or little walking saucer things from Turtles in Time ever in the cartoon?
