John Delaney's Bad Joke Setup

Stop me if you've heard this one before...

A Saiyan Prince, A Princess, a Man-Eating Mantis & a Giant Milkshake all walk into a bar...

Great assortment, John! Gonna take a bit to pick a favorite. ;-)

All are great. I really like the Vegeta one the most out of the 4. I like and can understand why John did what he did with shake cause it would be a little boring to just have Shake standing alone.

Vegeta: Though I'm not a DBZ fan, the sketch looks really good, especially the lighting.

Zorak: Cool! The Godzilla theme is cool (and fits Zorak's violent demeanor rather well)

Zelda: Looks good...like the wind effect.

Shake: Shake's emotion is dead-on. Nice parody.

I saw the commercial again later that night except she was lying down when she became invisible so it made it look mch more sexy (excuse my language)! Yes, it had the sparkle format and everything! The thing is, I don't remember the point of the commercial, I think itwas just her disappearing. Anyone ever seen it?

Oooh, I love the Shake. Very creative. I voted for Shake hoping that Delaney would come up with something clever, and he did.

The other three are great as well, especially the Veggie. Gotta love the lighting on that one.

Vegeta: Amazing! Reminds me a lot of the Vash pic, only with the bada.ss nature we have come to know and love!

Zorak: A "super-giant" mantis instead of a giant mantis? Genius! Take that, Godzilla!

Master Shake: Hilarious! It sort of befits the oddball humor of the show, but makes him a tad darker.

Zelda: Definate old-world feel for the Hyrulean princess. Not too bad.

Now all we need are Vicious, the Great Pumpkin and (dare I say it) Asuka (yeah!) and we'll be all caught up!

I LOVED the Vegita pic!!!

I can just imagine Vegita getting ready to insult his opponent just before unleashing his attack upon them.

(the others are good too, but not my style.)

Fantastic, great job on all of them.

You proved me wrong that the Master Shake sketch wouldn't be all that interesting.

I would say the Zorak picture is my favorite, except for one problem...

He's been nuetered!
Where are his attenae!

ouch.

Really, I love them all, but please fix poor Zorak.

Well, not exactly neutered- female mantises also have antennae. Those are vital sensory organs for both genders, in addition to being one of the defining features of insects (ever notice that spiders don't have 'em?)

So yes, it would seem appropriate to restore to Zorak what is rightfully his.

He's one of the main characters of a show on Adult Swim called Aqua Teen Hunger Force which is only about 15 minutes long and is a comedy cartoon. Not everyone likes it insane and odd humor but I enjoy it.
