John Delaney's Sketch of the Week #12
Welcome to "John Delaney's Sketch of the Week"!

Out of the kindness of his art, John Delaney is doing something big for the fans - an exclusive weekly sketch for the fans who frequent Toon Zone!

Every week, he will draw a new picture based on the results of the poll. That means that *we* fans choose what the image will be!

The contest will begin every Monday, and end at 5pm the following Friday, giving fans a solid five days to choose. You can only vote ONCE! John will then draw the sketch over the weekend and we'll present at the beginning of the following week. The characters must be animation/comic characters drawn in the Animated style, and if you have any requests for future polls, send me an email with your ideas! Keep an eye out on the Comics Forum for all the latest action!

Sound good? You can also post your thoughts on the poll in this thread.

This will definatly be an interesting and divided poll. This was an extremely hard poll to chose becuase some of the characters I voted for initially are now back up here. But I have yet to see John do Batman Beyod...and I really wanna see that...

Ohhh, the runners up poll! This one is hard to choose....but you know, Delaney, I REALLY wanted to see that Buffy drawing something fierce! BUFFY ALL THE WAY!

In case any of you are wondering how we came up with this list of runners-up, here's an explanation:

Rather than being a straight list of 2nd-place finishers, this poll is made up of the top vote-getters from the first 10 polls who did not win or have a sketch drawn anyway. In the case of ties, the tiebreaker was the percentage of total votes the character accounted for in their particular poll. So in the end, it came out like this:

1. Supergirl (39 votes)
2. Adam West Batman (37 votes)
3. Samurai Jack (29 votes)
4. Green Arrow (27 votes, 21.77%)
5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (27 votes, 14.52%)
6. Spawn (23 votes)
7. Robin (21 votes; 17.21%)
8. Joker (21 votes; 13.64%)
9. Brak (21 votes, 11.29%)
10. Batman Beyond (19 votes, 15.83%)%)
11. Mary Marvel (19 votes, 10.22%)
12. Two-Face (19 votes, 10.22%)

As you can see, there was a 3-way tie for 10th place, but the percentage factor eliminated Two-Face and Mary Marvel (and believe me, it was hard to eleminate Mary! )

Hopefully poll #22 will be another runners-up battle from polls #11-20. Hope you all enjoy this one!

Glad to see my poll idea in action, it'll be interesting. I voted for Supergirl, because I almost voted for her in the Darkseid poll and decided to vote for her if she came up again.

Wow - it actually came down to a coin-toss for me this poll 'round. I usually have a clear-cut fave right from the get-go but not this time.
