Yuri Lowenthal is union as he does pre-lay work (notably Ben Tennyson in Ben 10: Alien Force). The Kurokami dub which had a LA/NY mixed cast and was recorded at NYAV Post like Huntik was union (as it featured Steve Blum, Wil Wheaton, Crispin Freeman, and Mary McGlynn, all union VAs) so I assume Huntik was union too. The upcoming Slayers Revolution/Evolution-R dub will also be union in order to fit Crispin Freeman into the cast, and it is being recorded at NYAV Post too.

I think if you record for a role outside of the LA market you don't need to abide by SAG rules but take that with a grain of salt as I'm not sure.

Either they still have 4Kids affiliates that do their Saturday morning stuff on Sundays or you're under the mistaken impression that it'll be at 10PM, like someone else in this thread was thinking recently. I haven't even checked yet if that will be Eastern or what, but I think it's safe to assume it will be the same time-slot TMNT currently enjoys.

They'll probably mention the time it starts a week before it airs, so keep your eyes out for ads on November 14th.

Can someone please explain if this movie is airing uncut?

The running time was confirmed to be about 77 minutes from people who saw it at the con, how can this fit from simply 10-11:30?

Will they air it with no commercials?

I'm sure that it'll be cut at least some. And I'm willing to bet there will be commercials.

IIRC the Kirby movie aired with reduced commercials.

77 minutes still allows for 13 minutes of commercials, and if 4Kids sacrifices their own ads for other shows on their block and stuff like that, it should be pretty much fine.

This movie was made for TV in the first place, so.

No no no no, I perfectly understand what time it's airing at...

See, my CW affiliate airs church services at 10am on Saturday mornings (followed by a full hour of Fresh Prince at 11am...for whatever reason). Thus, while they air the first three hours (7-10) of the block in its proper time, the last two hours (10-12) get shifted to 8am Sunday. Been that way around here as long as a best friend of mine can remember (and she's lived here her whole life).

The time it "currently enjoys" is 8:30am on Sundays in my area, while the movie will start at 8am on November 22nd.

Something interesting. Less than 2 weeks now before the scheduled air date. My DVR is showing only a half hour of TMNT scheduled from like 10:00-10:30 on Saturday 11/21.

I didn't think they'd reveal the Mirage Turtles in this trailer.

Otherwise, it does look pretty interesting. Great to see Karai and Hun involved as well. No sign of either version of Baxter Stockman is kind of disappointing.

While we're on this topic, are there any Canadian Voice actors that are Union?

Because if I want to make an animated series, I want to use Professional voice actors from both the US and Canada. (Much like Hulk Vs.)

That trailer looks great! And wow the Mirage Turtles look like they just jumped out of the TMNT COLLECTED BOOK VOLUME ONE I picked up a couple months back. They look just dead on. I seriously cannot wait for this!

Love it! So pumped for this. I especially liked everyone taking on that gigantic Shredder. Good to see the show go out with a bang.

Apparently a longer trailer is set to come out soon, possibly Wednesday. Looking forward to that too.

Yes, but Canada doesn't crack down on voice actors voicing non-union roles as much as the US does. Hence Scott McNeil showing up under his real name in every work he does, whether pre-lay, union anime, or non-union anime or Alessandro Juliani voicing L under his real name while portraying Felix Sabates for Battlestar Galactica. The stigma isn't there in Canada or if it is it isn't as serious.

This is why recording the show in Canada was mega-popular in the late 90's/early 00's because the Canadians would provide an adequate but inexpensive work. With the weakening American dollar the benefits of going to Canada have lessened greatly which is why the Canadians don't get the work they used to, dubs like Death Note only wind up there if the LA studios are overloaded or to take advantage of Canadian Content regulations.

It is far simpler to stick to one studio and one region than to do a mix of Canadians and Americans. It costs a ton of money to either fly ADR people up to Canada or fly Canadian VAs to America, or even to try to direct people over the phone. Which is why stunts like you're bringing up only happen for OVAs or movies.

I would probably hire NYAV Post for recording a series because the studio uses both LA and NY personnel and manages to churn out stellar work in both pre-lay and dubbing despite the cast literally being on opposite sides of the United States. Perhaps hiring from Christopher Sabat's personal studio in Austin would work too since it has done surprisingly good work for video games (such as the Metroid Prime sequels) and non-FUNimation anime.

Goodbye, Ninja Turtles.

After this movie, the Turtles as we know them will be gone forever.

Although I am excited to see what Nick does with the TMNT, this is basically the "farewell" to the last 25 years of the Ninja Turtles.
