Animal Crossing question (GC)
I'm playing the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing and I have a question. I created my town, and then briefly created another town on another memory card to get the Punch-Out NES code to work and then deleted the town after I managed to transport the Punch-Out game back to "my" town.
Here's the problem. Someone in my town gave me an item to "deliver" to someone who had "moved" from my town to the "Punch-Out" town for the brief period it existed, which I already deleted from the memory card. Now I'm stuck with the item and can't get rid of it. I even tried going to the fountain to drop it there, but it says "You don't have any items to apologize for, you should work harder to find the person yadda yadda." Any tips on how to get rid of this item? |

All I can think of is to try to take it back to whoever asked you to deliver it; I can't remember if there's an option to say you can't deliver their item or not. Otherwise, may Resetti have pity on yur soul.

If worse comes to worse, just leave the item in the town Dump. In the GC version, once you delivered the item, you were all set. You didn't have to go back and tell the villager who wanted the favor you got it handled.

I got rid of it.
You basically have to hold onto the item for more than 2 days in order for you to trigger the fountain's event to let you take it back to your employer. You can't just give it back to him or her right away, you basically need the fountain to trigger that action to happen. Oh, as for the dump, you can't drop delivery items. If it was that simple, I would have done it right away. |
