I don't think a particular movie scared me, though I have vague memories of a peculiar black and white animated film which played on TV when I was a child - I remember very little about it, other than it featured a colony of weird creatures travelling around a desolate landscape with some gigantic structures. It creeped me out quite a bit.

Also, an advert for Kinder (a very popular brand of chocolate in Europe) which featured a very weird computer-animated Humpty Dumpty, which looked a bit like a severely deformed child. I shared this with the rest of you back on April Fools' Day (passing it off as "Pixar's latest animated sensation" or whatever).

I remember seeing that ad on youtube a while back. Definitely weird.

When I was a little kid...

Both the scene in The Lion King where Scar kills Mufasa and in Lion King II when Simba was ambushed scared me. The part in Aladdin when the Cave of Wonders was destroyed scared me. That's all I can remember.

Chocadooby!

Sorry couldn't resist (yes, I have seen it too), anyway, I don't think the egg person was a CG creation, but rather a puppet. Remember, this ad did come from the 80's and all their nonsense.

What the hell were they smoking, putting THAT in a kids' show?!

That said, anyone seen Education for Death? It's 60-some-year-old nightmare fuel.

I was really easily scared as a kid, I kind of still am. Black Cauldron scared me, but in a good way I guess. I still always wanted to watch it. I believe that there was another one in particular but I don't remember what it was right now...

When I first saw Rock-a-Doodle during the transformation scene I went and hid.

Akira scared me, when I first saw it. It was the first R-rated animated movie I have ever seen.
Or maybe I was just awestruck. Either way, I couldn't sleep last night because of it.
