I find it odd that JJBATAS has yet to make the list.

Clue for character 3: "Are we there yet?"

Well, it's not exactly pretending to be, is it? Short of taking a vote (and isn't that what view counters are for, anyway?) any list like this is ultimately going to boil down to one person's opinion.

It could conceivably be interesting to have a countdown like that in which everyone involved in making an abridged series each got a vote on the matter (since what constitutes a "moment" is debatable, maybe breaking it into categories like "best voice," "best writing," "best editing," "best new character," "best solo series," "best group series," etc.) just to see how opinions differ between the audience as a whole and the people who actually make these things, but that wouldn't necessarily make it any more "objective," just a different set of people's opinions.

Well said, but of course considering your level of intelligence (2nd only in this community to Unwardil, possibly tied with Juu-kuchi) most of the things you say are well said. I respect and tend to enjoy Cassius's opinion. Considering the level of intelligence she seems to (and most likely does) have, I don't dispute what she does and doesn't place in TLAC (funny acronym ) . As you can see, I'm drawn to intelligent people (Love hbi's/Mynd Hed's/Ben's work, Love Unwardil's stuff, really want to check out Juu-kuchi's stuff, The boys at PokemonAbridgedFTW are awesome, Like TLAC, but dislike ROVA for some reason. Too high-brow maybe? idk). I don't find it surprising since I am also intelligent. Although, I tend to leave my intelligence out of my humor (as hbi here does from time to time), as you'll all see eventually when my group and I get further along with our stuff. However, don't be surprised to see witty comebacks, petty observationalism, and the occasional music reference.

EDIT: It appears my post has been altered. I'm getting a violation again, aren't I?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNIIsQqGqqY - Yugi and friends watch the finale to Battlestar Galactica.

minor spoilers, but 'tis a small relatively fun video regardless if you're a fan of BG or not.

Here's the pilot episode of martialmichael126's Detective CONAN Abridged, which I found through Juu-kuchi's account:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KofOB5Apio

The one thing I liked about this was that unlike previous attempts at abridging Detective CONAN, martialmichael used the original Japanese names (which I happen to prefer anyway), as well as the original title, the comedy was pretty decent and it was well scripted, and also I like the use of background music
from the original show, the SFX are the typical DRAGONBALL/Slayers sound effects (courtesy of Hidenori Arai), and the highlights of this were Shin'ichi wanting to be a detective to get fangirls, Ran hinted at being a closet Yuu Yuu Hakusho fangirl, the Detective Boys gang (Junior Detective League in the English dub) being 10x's more annoying than they are in the actual series (but in a more humourous fashion), and Conan's Next useless hint at the end, and honestly this is best potential abridged series for this show that I've ever watched.

Also, the Yu-Gi-Oh!-Battlestar Galactica video was funny, especially with a Simpsons reference, and sadly this is how most TV shows end

Looks like Little Kuriboh's re-redited GIRUGAMESH video was removed aswell. I'm guessing Sakura Con was still not satisfied. Can't they realize that not only was it only done for parodic reasons, but it was also free advertising for them? Unless of course, Little Kuriboh decided to remove the video himself, for another reason?

I decided to remove it myself, due to receiving a number of messages from the Sakura-Con people explaining why it was taken down in the first place.

It was causing people to spam their site with pornographic images (due to the whole "tentacle rape, etc" thing) so they decided to take it down. They say they'll let me leave it up if I remove the objectionable content, which I think is perfectly reasonable. So I'm going to remake the video - after I finish my new episode.

Oh ho, so revelations are coming to light about why your video was removed for well... quite understandable reasons.

Oh and yay new episode in the works!

Actually, honest question- what does Mai say in the video? I hear it as "Smile UK!" but that can't possibly be right.

Smile DK, a peppy Euro-popesque band popular for various DDR songs like "Butterfly" and "Mr. Wonderful".

And they're Swedish. Not Japanese.

You mean asking nicely for the video to be taken down and/or re-edited using reasonable arguments yielded better results than thuggish strongarm tactics involving frivolous copyright claims?

*head explodes*

Well that explains the Euro-popesque dynamic. Or did Vic actually consider them Japanese?

To be fair, most of those robot menaces were destroyed by his gut.
