Nice to see Lupin in the top 3, but I'm surprised that Home Movies was missing.

If anyone hears anything about a Lupin DVD box set, please let me know.

Say goodbye to Brendon.
Home Movies had 497,000 the previous week, that's pretty dang good. Yeah, the ratings stunk the next week, but it is way too early to jump to any conclusions. We have one week and one bad week, with a bunch more episodes to go. There is no need to say goodby to Brendan. Adult Swim doesn't cancel series based on one week of bad ratings.

The thing is, I don't remember the point of the commercial, I think itwas just her disappearing. Anyone ever seen it?

Long holiday weekend my ass.

Here's how it went.

Week 1 Viewers: I'll watch this show because of the 3 billion ads.

Week 2 Viewers: I'M NOT WATCHING THAT SHIT AGAIN!!

Why don't you people wait until we see this week's ratings?

What? Because after enjoying 3 full seasons of Home Movies they suddenly decided after one fourth season episode to never watch again? I guess this means people are never going to watch Space Ghost, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab or The Brak Show again since those shows got less than 297,000 also. Eh?

Let's wait for next week's ratings before declaring the sky is falling.

I have to agree with Matt Wilson. It doesn't look good for Home Movies, the failure of the weekday run partly affected it. The second reason it is in this situation is because of its long hiatus, which may have made the fans of Home Movies think it WAS cancelled, and they may have stranded away from Cartoon Network all together. The third reason for this new low is what SwimBuddah said, it was a holiday, even I didn't see the episode last week. If Home Movies doesn't do good this week, then there could be some problems for Home Movies in the seeable future.

Meh...I'll wait for further ratings reports on HM before declaring the cause lost.

The ratings for this batch of shows, not last week's shows.

[QUOTE=Zach Nathanson]I have to agree with Matt Wilson. It doesn't look good for Home Movies, the failure of the weekday run partly affected it.

- If you had put any other AS show on in place of Futurama of Family Guy it probably would have done just as badly in that slot.

The second reason it is in this situation is because of its long hiatus, which may have made the fans of Home Movies think it WAS cancelled, and they may have stranded away from Cartoon Network all together.

- Then why did almost 500,000 tune in the previous week?

The third reason for this new low is what SwimBuddah said, it was a holiday, even I didn't see the episode last week. If Home Movies doesn't do good this week, then there could be some problems for Home Movies in the seeable future.

- There is still like 10 weeks to go, plenty of time for more data.

It is possible that the airing of the first episode was somewhat of a one-time thing. The overadvertising paid off, but even with the vacation 500,000 to below 290,000 is a considerable drop down, and you have to admit, something else must have triggered this huge downfall.

If these are indeed the top ratings, then the WS Lab shows, which normally take the top spots, failed miserably too.

Or maybe the ratings for last week's episode were a one time thing considering Home Movies has had 3 other successful seasons.

*thinking about the shows on list, thinking improves*

It is rather odd that the ratings winners last week all ended in a clump, timeslot wise, and at the tailend, where the worst usually do. Couldn't find anything important going on last weekend (besides being long weekend). A few basketball games but nothing major.

Best guess: people came home late and turned on television.
