Harley |
|
a.k.a.:
Eileen Cruz
Role:
toonzone's General Mgr./Founder, Freelance Artist
Biography:
Harley's tale begins as one of seeming insanity. That might only be forgivable due to the fact that she was four years old at the time. That's right... Before she wanted to be an astronaut... Before she wanted to dig up dinosaurs and fossils as a paleontologist... She wanted to be a superhero. Kids are nutty, huh?
Well, she quickly realized that wasn't happening and came to the conclusion that it'd probably be best to just read and watch their exploits. Several years later, she took a look at both at animation and comics as industries and said, "I want to be a part of that"... and she's been on that quest ever since. When not working on a multitude of other things, she enjoys watching any animation she can get her hands on, drawing, coloring, playing video games (Mostly RPGs and fighting games), digging up fossils, or heck, even reading a good comic book.
While Eileen is an advocate of all things wacky and fun, she’s probably one of the more centered people you’ll meet. There’s a time and a place for everything, after all. In addition to having some training in traditional animation, she is also quite familiar with business centric environments. She has a background in executive level administration, network integration sales, project coordination, mediation and management. Eileen is fully capable of holding an entire serious conversation without breaking into giggle fits and marveling at the wonders of string. She simply prefers the giggle fits… and the string.

Colin |
|
a.k.a.:
The Dark Lord
Role:
A Pinch of Customer Service and a dash of Trainer
Biography:
Once upon a time, in a land no so distant, there was a young boy born to a prominent wizarding family... the boy's parents were slain by the hand of the evil Dark Lord. The boy was then left to live with the only family he had...until he was old enough to understand who he really was.
Colin is still not that boy, though it would really make life much more interesting, wouldn't it? Who wouldn't love the ability to point their wand at a door and have it open... or catch fire? Sadly, no matter how much I try, that branch I cut off the tree in the front yard just isn't working... I'm just getting strange looks from the neighbors when I yell "AVADA KEDAVRA" at them...

a.k.a.:
Roman Numeral One
Role:
Toon Zone Forum Admin, WBC & Story Board Mod, etc.
Biography:
Romey, a quiet contemplative type, managed to find his way here shortly before Toon Zone took shape. He lost what precious little was left of his mind immediately afterward -- the damage is still being analyzed...

Adam Tyner |
|
a.k.a.:
Adam Tyner
Role:
Programmer
Biography:
Born in a graveyard and raised in a garage, Adam was born 'n raised in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, somehow managing to avoid picking up a Southern accent or a career in the textiles industry. No, Adam develops database-driven web applications for the travel industry, and he occasionally lends his meager programming skills to Toon Zone. Anything else Adam would write about himself in the third-person would probably revolve around DVDs, video games, or other hobbies he can indulge in without leaving his house. So, yeah. If the name sounds familiar, you might know Adam from the eighteen quadraseptazillion message boards he frequents, or maybe from web sites he'd played a hand in like bigwolfoncampus.org or he-man.org.

Alex Weitzman |
|
Role:
Toon Zone News, Senior Op/Ed Editor
Biography:
A New Yorker trapped permanently within the barren desert wasteland of Southern California, I have managed to keep what little sanity I could muster through gaining a BFA in Theatre Performance, producing various TZ writings, and moderating Rotten Tomatoes with a slightly iron fist. However, these middling activities will not satisfy the mind forever and soon the madness will descend upon my brain. I'm thinking of taking up needlepoint.

Ed Liu |
|
Role:
Toon Zone News Interviews Editor
Biography:
Last pup of a dying planet, a young German Shepherd is rocketed to Earth, where he is bombarded by cosmic gamma rays emitted by a radioactive spider. Crash-landing in the forgotten land of Hubba Hubba, he is discovered by the Who-You-Callin'-Ancient One and his lovely wife Pookie. Instilled with their traditional American values, he spends his young adulthood roaming the globe, learning all the secrets of Comic-Fu. Donning battle armor fashioned from spilled chemicals splashed by lightning, he becomes the Sensational Shield of Sequential Art ACE THE BATHOUND! Look, it sounds a lot better than the truth. Born in Brooklyn, moved to Queens at 3 and then New Jersey at 10. Throughout high school, college, grad school, and gainful employment, two things have remained constant: 1) I am a colossal nerd, and 2) I have spent far too much time reading comics, and then reading and writing about them. Currently working as a financial programmer in New York City, while continuing to discover all the wonderful little surprises (and expenses) of owning your a home in the suburbs. Shares the above with a beautiful, wonderful, and incredibly understanding wife named Frances (who, thankfully, participates in most of my silly hobbies) and a large furry dog named Brownie (who, sadly, does not).

James |
|
a.k.a.:
James McLean
Role:
Storyboard/Video Game Artist
Biography:
I'm a professional artist currently burrowing my way through the video games industry relatively undetected.
I've sipped a soupçon of journalism in my time and gorged upon a fatty wedge of music gateaux. I'm also the prime motivator of the BacktoFrankBlack campaign - it's sort of like being Skeletor without Snake Mountain, the furry groinal pouch and meandering underlings. I do have the pale face, camp posture and unbitten fingernails though..

Brian Cruz |
|
Role:
Toon Zone Webmaster & Server Administrator
Biography:
I've been a cartoon nut since I was a kid, absorbing everything from Saturday morning cartoons to Disney features. But my first and greatest cartoon passions will always be Looney Tunes and Animaniacs. Thanks to Animaniacs I joined the Warner Bros. Club in 1994, where I met my soulmate Eileen "Harley" Delgadillo. In 1997 I created my own WB Cartoons page, which later merged with 3 other sites to become Toon Zone. Nowadays when I'm not monitoring the server and thinking of ways to expand the site, I'm trying to figure out what to do with my B.F.A. in Film & Television from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
