I've been wondering who everyone thinks is the best HM character? Who is yours, mine is Jason.

McGuirk is the best. My favorite peripheral character has got to be Duane's girlfriend tho...

Brendon has always been the center of the show, he's the best characterized, and (IMO) the most interesting, so he's my favorite.

Is H. Jon Benjamin a fair choice? His style for all his characters collectively adds a ton to the show. If I could I'd choose the non HM character Ben Katz since his style has been in many ways distilled among Jason, McGuirk, etc. H. Jon makes the show! Oh, and I suppose a secondary shout out for Mr. Lynch who's underappreciated and hillarious both on and off Home Movies ("...his name is Susan...B...Anothony.").

I've always been rather fond of Erik, Melissa's father. He plays his biggest role in Season 1, where his deadpan delivery is one of the show's standout performances. In an odd way, he seem slightly above all the stuff that's going at any given time.
