View Full Version : "The Pagemaster" Talkback
Well, considering I don't see one...I guess I'll just post this.
The music in the opening credits seemed eerily familiar...
I can already tell I'm not going to like it judging by these book characters.
ah, the Culkin kid in his prime..
Never seen Pagemaster before today.
I think I'll tune in for a bit..
I actually saw this when it first came out, but I don't remember a thing about it...so this is essentially like watching it for the first time for me.
All I remember was how I thought his bike was so stupid that it was cool. :p

I loved Pagemaster when I was a kid, I still have every form of merchandise that came out for it years ago.
Must...continue...watching....even though I don't want to...
Edit: You know, I should've made this a poll.

I'm a huge Macaulay fan, but this was one of his weakest movies..
I liked it years ago, but watching it now... urgh.

Whatever did happen to him? First I heard his parents wanted a cut of his money and he said no. Then I heard he was caught doing drugs or dealing drugs. Now where is he?

He was actually in a recent movie with Seth Green and has been working in the theater. Anyway I remember renting this movie as a kid to see the sneek peek at the Power Rangers movie that it came with... that rocked. Anyway I don't would watch, but I don't remember it being too good and have to do some stuff. Might watch a re-airing though.

Why? o_O I can understand not letting you watch his new movies (Oh man, why does he have to act in such trashy films?) But his old movies (Home Alone especially) Were great.
I watched some of it, I thought it was OK.
Didn't expect much out of it anyway.
Past his prime. The voiceovers for the animated segments were recorded three years after the live-action segments. Macaulay's voice had since changed and had to be digitally altered in order to match.
I think I remember hearing about that.. Good to know.
Watched it all the way through.
Eegads, was that bad. Why did CN bother picking it up? D-.

I haven't seen this in a LONG time, it was good to see it again. Whoopi Goldberg and Leonard Nimoy were great with the voices.

The animation was also done by Hanna-Barbera Studio (Turner). Hanna-Barbera also animated "Once Upon a Forest" for Fox.
Cartoon Network does have a deal with Dreamworks to air their animated movies but I forgot when that deal kick in. So in the near future, "Antz" and other Dreamworks animated films will appear on the channel.

That was the only reason MANY kids got the movie, including myself. (Ah, I still remember those days. I still have my Electronic Talking Saba Dagger.)

"WE NEED TIGERZORD POWER, NOOOW!"
Oh my God, I thought I was the only one who loved that thing.

Most of it was runoff from the coolness of the Green Ranger (Everybody loved the Green Ranger, he was and still is the coolest Ranger ever).
Argh, I wish I still had my original Deluxe Megazord toy. That thing was friggin cool. And if I had a working Dragonzord, that would be even better.
Heh, all we need now is Knux. :p

All it was was a short, kid-oriented Making Of preview of the movie. Nothing to get any underwear in a bunch about unless you like seeing Goldar being given acting direction.

At the time? Sure.
Now, 10 years later? Nothing to start fanboying over.
