Yes, I know "Merry" is more traditional a phrase for some of us, it normally is for me too, guess the Brits are influencing me a bit. Well, I normally wouldn't do a thread like this before the said date of celebration, but in this case I thought it all right for a bit of lee-way. This is because, at least for me, I know some people that tend to celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. So it seemed all right to be throwing up the Christmas thread a day earlier due to this fact. I myself always spent Christmas Eve with my cousins who would open most of their presents that night. And now that my sister is married, my family in law always has a tradition of the whole family getting together from all over to open presents. But my family still does the opening of presens on Christmas Day. Anyhoo, for those that start the fun of Christmas a day earlier, very merry times to all of you. As for the rest of us, we still have one more day of anticipation left. Happy Holidays to all!

And a happy Christmas to everyone here. Of course, Christmas isn't just about the presents and the Santa. It should be about the religious aspects as well. That's why I'm going to church today in the afternoon. Can't forget about Jesus after all.
*gasp*
Five minutes to sit down with a coffee and log on here between the roasting and wrapping and other paraphenalia. Anyway...
A very Happy Christmas to everyone here at TZ who is celebrating, hope you have a holiday filled with fun, love and laughter.
Big hugs and a chunk o' puddin' to all my good buddies here - you know who you are :)

So anyone doing anything exciting on Christmas Eve? I've got till 3 today, then church at 4, and then off to the family in laws place around 6. It's so fun to work at a jewelry store, especially around the holidays. It is such a wonderful feeling to see someone getting something special for another, and to be able to help out in that process. I'll probably be wrapping up a lot of jewelry boxes today, can't wait!

Merry Christmas everybody. I'm not doing much today, just watching the SNL marathon, going to church, and the coming home and opening some of my presents.
Merry Christmas, everyone! :)
I'm spending Christmas Eve with my dad, his girlfriend, and her family. I have presents for my "niece" and "nephew" (Natalie's daughter's children) that I hope they'll enjoy.
Christmas Day will be spent with my mother and sister, and we are going over to my aunt's to have dinner with the family.

Sounds fun! My Christmas Eve day traditionally includes:
-Watching this years home-made Christmas movie that took me two weeks to compile, edit, and mix with music
-Go out to lunch
-Drop by work and wish everyone a merry Christmas, be there for when the boss gets her present from us
-Church at 5pm - but get in the seats by 4:20
-Dinner
-Watch a Christmas-themed movie or special on TV
-Try to sleep

Happy holidays to one and all!
I'm at work today as usual, but I'm kind of hoping to sneak out early. (It's really quiet, and there's not much to do. Hence, my posting here.)
I'm spending tonight with my best friend. We always exchange gifts on Christmas eve. And then we plan to watch a bunch of holiday movies.

Merry Christmas, everyone! :D
Tonight we are opening ALL our presents, from everyone in the house, anyway. My sister has to be up real early to get to her boyfriend's house by 7:30 am. So it would be pointless to try to open them tomorrow. It does take away the fun part of staying up all night wondering what you got, though. And that's my favorite part :(

and Christmas day at my Aunt and Uncle's house (Father's Sister).
Me: Well I wish everyone on TZ, especially my fav mods & members, a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays..
Tiny Tim: God Bless Us, Every One!
Me: Huh? Look who's the attention hog now!
*kicks Tiny Tim away from computer*
Me: Anyway, today I'm pretty much finishing up all the Tree decorations, and will start wrapping my presents tonight. OH boy, I'm broke.. Later Tonight going over to the in-law's place, have Christmas Eve dinner, etc. Tomorrow going over to my brother's house, celebrate Christmas over there. Watch the Laker game on TV.
Me: Trying to remember, if they do it this year. I'll be watching TNT's The Christmas Story marathon.. That has to be my favorite christmas movie.. Happy Holiday's Everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone! We open all our family gifts on Christmas Eve, and Santa gifts on Christmas Day. Today we have to make luminarias, because our neighborhod does that, and lights them when it gets dark (like 4:30:p). Then everyone drives around, and it looks so pretty. We were lazy and didn't put any outside lights up, just window lights:sweat: I just wish I could enjoy today a little more, as my mouth is killing me from my new braces.
But hey, Merry Christmas everyone :)

My family and I need to decorate the entire house, I still have a few old Christmas specials to watch, and I need to decorate the two remaining trees. (we decorated the third one yesterday) And tomorrow is actually the big day! :D I can't wait! Once again, Merry Christmas everybody!

There actually already is a thread for this. Not to sound like a broken record, especally around the holidays, but please try and check the first page at least of any forum before putting up a thread. Merging this with the already existing one.

Since he's new, and since it's Christmas, you mods can let him slide for puttin' the thread in the wrong place.
Or we can talk about Christmas specials.
For the first time I got to see Rankin-Bass' Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer.
I got to watch Frosty The Snowman for the first time in years, and both the live-action and animated Grinch movies/specials.
And Cartoon Network Japan aired:
PPG: The Fright Before Christmas
A Johny Bravo Christmas
A Charlie Brown Christmas (my favorite)
and some christmas special from Bill Plympton.
What did you guys see?
Frank Castle
12-25-2003, 09:10 AM
I saw all the specials that are on your list and I also saw Olive the Other Reindeer. Not sure if it would be considered a special but I liked it anyway. :)

No Charlie brown Christmas? I always thought it was an American holiday tradition.. It hadn't been shown here in years and years till we got Boomerang and they seem to show it every year now, after I spent a year trying to find a copy..
I sit here looking at my breakfast that's gone cold,
And I will go ahead and be bold,
To say to all the ToonZoners,
Merry Christmas.....ers.http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/sweat.gif
BTW: Caught the Christmas Story marathon on TNT, BEST Christmas MOVIE EVER!!!
Favorite LIne:
Dad: "Fra-gile.... must be Italian."
MOm: That says Fragile."
Be careful, You'll Shoot your eye out.
Edit: Added Christmas before movie, I don't wanna be too bold.http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/sweat.gif

I guess I have had a good day today, but Christmas can be such a hassle. Tonight I have annoying relatives to put up with at a party, and all the places outside of the house are closed. But Christmas can have its benefits, including resting knowing that there's no papers or exams to turn in and no work to be done. Merry Chirstmas, everyone.
