I remember the new look for the Cafe. I was so against it, still am. Haha. I also remember in influx of new members taking over as some of us older members became more busy with college and work. Summer will be our time to reclaim !! :D Viva La Revolution !

I remember how fun the TZ dance was and how crazy everybody was about asking someone to go. *sigh* Good Times. I too remember the new Cafe look *coughstarbuckscough* and the reaction it got. But, in my short time here I would have to say that I enjoy the company of the members here better than I did the members at the AS boards. You Guys Rock! :anime:

I remember that guy who just kept making threads with the male reproductive organ repeated over and over again.

I remember that guy who left Toonzone, insulted everyone, and then ended re-registering.

I remember when that super hottie Blue Wolf came, and he was all smart and sexy, and became the best poster ever.

2003 Was A Great Toonzone Year (And I'm not just saying that because I joined it).

But to name everything that was great about it would take to long. I'll just list the bad.

- The members who insulted others for no reason

- Threads like "OMG YOU SUCK I HATE ANIME!!!!"

- Posts that had nothing to do with the topic and just badmouthed the person there.

- Losing Corrado

- Almost Getting Banned

But overall, it was still a great year.

A few stuffed happened:

The new look for the cafe
My temporarily leaving
My own Toonzone friends invading my message board and using names of Good well respected mods.

The announcing of my graduation and acceptance into college

Dianagohan crazy parodies in the Poke YGO reviews.
and a whole lot of stuff

I started posting at boards other than the Toonami board:sweat:

I've almost made 1,000 posts (there's still time)

At latest count you have 928. In order to make it to 1000 by 2004, you would have to average about 8 posts a day, and then you could clain that 1000 goal. I wish you the best of luck if you decide to go for it.

I will remind everyone (that inludes you, Zorakfan) to mind the Rules around here and be respectful to other users. I thought those types of images were cute at first, however now they are getting tiresome and do nothing but cause trouble.

As for me...

- Meeting and becoming friends with a few people on here was a good thing.

- Taking responsibility for the Drawing Board Workshops.

- The Drawing Board website.

I think thats about it :)

ToonZone 2003 for me:
Started lurking the Toonami board in January. Quotes from members like the Infamous Waggytoon, kept me coming back.
Finally joined in March, posted solely in the Toonami Board, started to lurk on other boards, added TZ to my favorites list.
Summer came and TZ became one of my daily visited sites. Started posting in more boards, started to get to know some of the great members and mods here.
Now TZ is startpage when I log on, I keep it on in the background while I'm at the computer.
I've met a lot of great people here.
Always an interesting time whenever someone goes on "ban me" spree, even though it's extremely annoying.
I think the only change I remember on TZ in 03 was when the TT board turned into the WBC board.
Overall TZ 2003 was a great year and I hope 04 is even better.

Bad Memories of 2003 at Toonzone
-The short-lived invasion of the "Hit or Miss" threads at the TTTP
-The confusion and uncertainty during the reconstruction of the Fun and Games board
-Waggytoon was banned.
-Most recently, I was told by three people in three days that the quote from Matt Wilson: "Closes Like Moses" was not funny. Even someone who I seem to dislike thinks that was funny!
-I further established my habit of random, sudden absence.
-The worst of all will not be mentioned publicly.

I might come back with good memories later, if I can think of enough.

I joined this site in Oct, and found this is the best toon zone forum online, it has some of the most interesting characters, who like what I like like comic characters and stuff which is very rare to find (unless you go to conventions). I never stop posting on this site, because here I can express myself in the stuff I enjoy without people looking at me odd, as an example the JL episode "A Better World" and how it has to do with all the aspects of duelism. I would like to thank all the creaters and all the guys that work on this site, to tell them they did an excellent job, keep up the great work, and thanks for making this site for us "geeks".

can i borrow a fork?

let's see. what has toonzone meant to me in this past year...

1. i've become known as the "avatar pimp", but then other posters wanted to become avatar pimps so somebody (i think it was lu) called me the "avatar king"
2. i bought a scanner and finally got myself to join in the fun over in the drawing board forum
3. tried and failed at an internet romance
4. i managed to get two of my friends to join also. one of them was banned within two hours of his joining
5. i met a lot of cool people here who seem to understand my humor and who know never to take me seriously unless the first five words of my post are "i am being serious now"
6. i've used at least 60+ avatars this year

lets see:

1. Start the year as a fairly average guy here on TZ.

1.5. http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=821387&postcount=21

2. Get noticed by Twage for my love and knowledge of anime, get position as a TZ reporter/reviewer.

3. Overanalyse the heck out of FLCL, end up with position as an Anime Forum Moderator because of it.

4. Finally get to write my first review for TZ on Someday's Dreamers.

Well for me a lot. :)

I think the Dark Knight Adventures comes first - having started the planning for it last December on Flash's request. Now I'm working - both on script and artwork for issue 6 - it has come a long way... :p

The Drawing Board.. time becomes a messy pulp, but I think I started modding early this year and took over running the thing from Frozen (who has had to take extended leave through most of the year) from April. The expansion of the Drawing Board has been something I'm greatly proud of. As Outlander said, the website was a great achievement both in design and content, but the all stars have been a riot too. Also, working on Workshops with the likes of Dave Alvarez and Ty Templeton has been cool (look out for one with Christopher Jones in the near future! :))

Working for the news team has also been pleasurable. I like to talk, so having been able to review (and also getting to see the shows early) has been great!

Starting modding on the Video Games Board has been interesting. BirdBoy requested some help for the board and I've enjoyed working there. The Gamer's Attic's have been rather fun to do!

Finally, the interviews for TZ. I've had the chance to talk to and enjoy working with some cool writers and illustrators. All of which have been beyond giving in time and effort to the articles. The comic industry has some great people working for it!

Finally finally, I must mention getting to talk and on one occasion meet some of the wonderful people who lurk here. I hope next year is as fun! :)

Were the Clone Wars Talkbacks such a prized position for you? You came to the Toonami board just for it.

DianaGohan

Yeah Knux Five, but you have to understand how much time Corrado put into the Clone Wars thread. He made sure he was the one to do the talkbacks a week in advance, figured out the best way to do it, posted a review for each seperate episode (along with a synopsis straight from Cartoonnetwork.com as well as who the VAs were). That (along with the "Corrado quote of the day") his most succesful thread, and he is really proud of that thread. I think he has right to be.

-Making friends like Corrado, DianaGohan, KinG of PaQ, Eddy, Sampo, Hyper Luigi, and wrenchien.(you're all on my buddy list)
-being accepted by most people here at Toon Zone.
-having fun at the Fun and Games Board, Cafe Toon Zone, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, and more.
-Corrado deciding to stay (just wouldn't be the same without you, buddy)
-getting along with the mods thus far

Bad things
-being disliked by some members for reasons unknown (Aurochs)
-having the post counts turned off at the Fun and Games Board(it's not that bad)

So all-in-all, it's been a pretty good year. Hope the next one's good too.

-This has already been mentioned, but Toonzone's 10th anniversery.

-The opening of the Disney board. (Which segues nicely into my next highlight)

-I appointed myself the master of the "Kim Possible" talkback threads. (It started during the summer run, when Disney Channel gave us the 8 new KP episodes. I've only missed one talkback since [Only because I had some computer troubles])

-Power Rangers Ninja Storm (I did a few talkbacks there during the season, and I plan to do at least one for Dino Thunder in Feb.)

-RAW bringing back Mick Foley and the Rock in two consecutive weeks.

-The "Scenes from a Hat" threads at Fun & Games.

What do I remember best?

-The trivia threads- I always had a blast trying to see what I knew about animation and realizing I knew very little.

-Blue Falcon's constant changing of avatars- So many cool ones to choose from. I still liked that Mega Man one best (If he even remembers it).

-My pretty much blending into the background- As I thought would happen with such a huge forum, not that I'm complaining. It means I can come and go with my opinions and not get constantly hassled for it.

-All the cool Teen Titans pics- Pretty self-explanatory.

-A few KFC jokes made at the expense of my username- I should think about changing KTF to Kaxxar the fox eventually.

Here's to a great 2003, and (let's hope) a great 2004.

Beat me to it Karl, was about to post that very thing. I feel little sad, I liked Diana, I know she got in trouble with the mods if you recall her sig, but still wonder why exactly why she got banned. But that's a question that would get this thread closed.

So to be relevent, there was a revolution in the Fun and Games section. And a lot of very popular games are (RIGHTFULLY!) gone. And too add to that nothing nice will ever be said again.

Not much happened here this year for me, except:

1. I started posting in the Anime boards--started watching Yu-gi-oh and posting comments. I don't even watch much anime to begin with.

2. Enjoying the Totally Spies threads.

One of the main reasons I joined was to post in the Delaney sketch polls, they've been delayed a long time but JD still needs his R&R. :)

Anyway, if I see a thread that looks interesting, I'll post. That's pretty much it.

Plus, it's best if I keep to myself here. I've been here for almost 2 years and there aren't many people here I'm familiar with, except for Delia97. I also don't wanna get into trouble for causing a flame war.

I'll miss Diana Gohan. :( :( :(

Well, that's about it. I only hope 2004 will be a little better. Not just here in TZ but in real life. My mom went through Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma Cancer early this year and went through 8 months of chemo-therapy. You can just imagine how much stress and anguish I've been through during Jan.-May of this past year. She's much better now though, but she still makes me go insane. Sorry if I had to go off-topic, but I had to mention it.

I only hope I don't get banned too for what I just said.
