I do, and since I've been sitting by one that's been ringing nonstop all day, it's giving me the world's hugest migraine.

I never had to put up with it that frequently, but it does bother me. I hate loud noises, and I hate when noises take me by surprise. Therefore, when the telephone that is next to the computer rings, I get hit with two annoying features of noise at once. The entire house is on the same telephone number, so even if no one is on the same level of the house and the telephone is answered somewhere else, I still hear it at first. Also, after hearing it ring too many times at once, I start imagining the noise inside of my mind. That is annoying, too.

I really hate it when I'm sleepy, it starts to ring and no one will answer it. So I have to get up, pick it up, and talk when I'm too sleepy to register anything they might say. Sometimes it really makes me angry.

It's more what happens after the ring that will bug me (i.e. telemarketers). :p
I can usually tell if it'll be a telemarketer by the fact that when I say "hello?", the line will either sound dead at first (telemarketer) or open right away (normal call). I've gotten into the habit of saying "hello?" once, then hanging up right away if the line is "dead."

Yes I do, at times. I tend to get annoyed by the sound of the telephone ringing at times such as when I JUST set foot in my house, or when I'm about to start being busy doing something. Plus my mother seems to get a lot of phone calls, and my home just doesn't seem like a home anymore. You'd think we're running a business at my house. It sucks.

It's cell phones that bug me. True I have one but It just seems people forget to cut them off at the worse moments. Even me. A kid in my Public Speaking Course was giving his speech and it went off. I felt so bad.

I don't hate the sound but I don't particularly enjoy it 98% of the time it's not for me =( so I ignore it alot.
What I hate is when people have cell phones going off during classes or during movies. One time someone answered it and kept repeating like 5 or 6 times "Dude I'm at the movies" getting louder each time it was highly annoying.

Ringing phones = customers to me, and I try to avoid like the plague, but that means I only get the awkward and annoying calls which inflames my prejudice against ringing phones even more. And yet I seem to be collecting cell phones, can't help it, I'm a gadget freak... I really need a life. http://forums.toonzone.net/images/smilies/sweat.gif

I hated the sound of telemarketer phone calls. I extremely hated it when the phone rings while I'm taking a shower.

Diana's phones can get really irrating sometimes. Espically if it rings when you're in the middle of something. It's mainly her cordless phone that's irritating. It's fairly new, but it has a very unpleaseant ring tone. At least to me.

I don't mind it when it doesn't happen constantly, but it often does here. I hate telemarketers.

I'll ditto what Pilmedium and Elven Moon said. I hate loud noises, and I dislike talking on the phone when I can barely think coherently.
Also, my phones only have annoying, offensive rings, so I suffer total shock every couple of mornings when I'm woken up by a loud, offensive, phone ringing, even when it's in the next room. It's unpleasant to be awoken from slumber or relaxation by that. It happened this morning and I nearly had a heart attack. :p
Of course, I could just remember to turn it down. Still, it's an offensive sound.
Now I know what Angie Heart, of "Frente!", meant, when she sang the words quoted above *points to title of this post*

I had a feeling someone would say that.
Let me elaborate a bit. This is an office phone. I've spent most of the past two days here at my dad's Allstate agency. The phone rings constantly and since I have no idea about quotes and policies, it would do earthly good to answer it.
I did turn the ringer down, though, and there have been less phone calls, but the day is just beginning.

I hate the shrill sound of my phone ringing. Initially it was a pleasure to get phone calls from people, but now, more often than not, it's my workplace calling me, asking how to fix this, do that...argh. It's become just annoying now.

Depends on the phone. I'm personally fine with the ones in my house, unless they suddenly go off at a peaceful time 3 inches away from my ear.

I cannot stand the ringing of a phone. At home, it's just constant - and 99% of the time, not for me anyway. Work is no better. I have *no* idea how to answer the questions that people ask me over the phone because no one ever keeps me informed on anything.
In fact, come to think of it...I've had so many awkward experiences over the phone, that I just hate 'em period.
For example, I had a boyfriend back in high school who would call me - and then wouldn't say anything. He'd be watching TV or playing internet baseball. If I asked him how his day was, he'd just say, "Fine," and keep playing. He'd do the same thing no matter what I said, even if I asked him about the game. And he did this every single day. It irritated the living daylights out of me. Needless to say, the relationship didn't last long.
