A while back we had "How many BBC employees does it take to change a lightbulb? (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=16550)" (warning: year-old-thread ;)) Well, I came across this thing (http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article09-208) (copied below) at annoyances.org, and thought y'all might enjoy it.
How many forum members does it takes to change a light bulb?

1 to change the light bulb and to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
1 to move it to the Lighting section
2 to argue then move it to the Electricals section
7 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
5 to flame the spell checkers
3 to correct spelling/grammar flames
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
19 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
36 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
7 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
4 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
13 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again.
Maybe a little bitter, but It's funny 'cause it's true. I especially like "5 to flame the spell checkers, 3 to correct spelling/grammar flames." And the stuff about moving the thread (uhoh, is this fun and/or games?) :D

Fortunately, the worse stuff listed there is infrequent throughout most of the TZ forums. :p

*pinging the empty lightbulb socket to see if it's powered* hmm, I guess we could add 1 more to that list... or just start a "how many fatalities" list ;)

6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" ... another 6 to condemn those 6 as stupid
I looked it up in an unabridged dictionary, and it only exists as two words. Someone who mistakenly thought of it as one word condemns me as stupid, even though he was too lazy to prove a false point.

11 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
That kind of belief is a problem in many forums, sometimes including Toon Zone.

13 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"

Now THAT'S spam.

5 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy

That member would then come back one week later. I might have that thought, but I would keep it to myself.

4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
They left one out after that. "4 more to say that it was last mentioned too long ago for the old thread to be revived, so [insert name of thread starter here] was doing fine.

1 forum lurker to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again
, in a new thread after the original one is closed.

185 forum members is an exaggeration. Of course, it could be 185 posts.

Let's see. I would make a review about changing it and then do so. Insanity would argue with my tactics about changing the lightbulb, Normalcy would hold up the latter. And if I fell, Blue Falcon would be there to catch me. So I would say 4, or 3 Personalities plus one other.

Good Ol' Batmanuel!

Nice job, Magwheel! I was tempted to post that myself when I read it the other day. Good thing I didn't, huh? ;)

Mr. Batmanuel: Yes, very good thing. What a disaster that would be. *shaking head solemnly*

Oh, and Pilmedium, I like your comment about people being lazy and saying others are stupid. That does happen a little too much here, but again, that's not the majority.

DianaGohan: Normalcy isn't all it's cracked up to be. Wait a second; how would I know?! I'm ready to suggest giving the light bulb opposable thumbs so it can do the job for itself. Buncha lazy stupids.

Not you; the light bulbs. They would have us all as pawns.
