I do. There's no learning curve. At all. All my tests during this half-term were hard, but then I get to the midterms...

AND THEY'RE TOO EASY!!

I realize this is strange for me to be complaining about, but heck, so is the fact that I'm typing messages to strange people that I only know through a metal box.

You think about that, while you reply and tell me if you hate midterm exams.

Well, in my school, midterms are worth 1/5 the final grade (I'm not sure about everywhere else), so i'm praying mine are easy.

But you know what I hate about midterms? I mean, besides studying, taking the test, and ultimately failing? When stupid english teachers happen to spring the fact that a research paper you've hardly worked on is counting as your midterm grade just a day or two before it's due. And, lucky me, that's just what happened! And I'm pissed!

The only time I ever got mid-term examinations was in sixth grade. I hated them then, and worse yet, I never even knew how I did. This year, I have one term paper to do for the mid-year. It might relieve boredom, or it might threaten my plans for the vacation. Either way, I will probably do badly, yet still get a decent grade. That always happens with me.

The english teacher I had for a short time tried to announce and change things at the last possible moment on a few occasions. That is one of the reasons why I hope to never be in that class again. (Two teachers teach the same grade level of english at the school I attend.)

I haven't had too many midterms in high school, come to think of it, I don't think I had one yet. But tomorrow I have an AP Fizzix midterm and I think it's supposed to be curved like the final. I just hope I can do well enough for a good curve.

One thing that's bugging me about the final is that you have to get a 70 to have a 100 after the curve. It scares me by how hard that test will be.

Don't get midterms, my schools weird in how it works. We get new teachers and classes every 10 weeks so midterms don't really work for.

But I do have the damn regents exams in January and June. :(

most of my teachers don't do midterms. And for colleges it's actually finals time. Finals suck.

i agree with roguemartian there. the only midterm i've ever had was for freshman speech and that was cake. but right now it is finals week and yes, they do suck. especially if you put no study time into them like me

Oh boy, I took my AP Fizzix midterm this morning. Most people found the same areas easy and hard. I'm just glad it's overwith and that there's no more tests before the break.

Well, we have finals coming up 2 weeks after Christmas, so we have break, then come back and review. I'm scared of the AP Bio final. Our teacher said that to get like a 60 without the curve would most likely be an A. That's just scary.

yeah thats how mine are...i hate taking em after the break though...:(
I tend to forget the material after a while I would much rather take it before the break> its almost like the school is like "hey, did ya have a good christmas??? well screw that...take these 6!!! exams!! MUAHAHAHAH...."

I hate them, especially in Middle School (which I am thankfully out of). In Middle School, because of the 6th graders, us last year 8th graders had to stay the full day. Darn 6thies!

I know what you mean. In college our midterms are in the middle of the semester (obviously), and the end-of-semester finals are even worse. At least I finished mine a few weeks ago, and the overall grades that I have been getting are looking pretty good.

The toughest thing about it is that sometimes you spend so much studying one topic and them on the exam there is some stuff that you didn't expect to be on it. now that's tough.

Due to the lovely weather that has hit Maine, I had a final cancelled on Monday. That final has been moved to... Saturday.

Blech.

So I am here longer than probably anyone else. I may be one of the few people left in my residence hall. Sounds like a set-up for a horror movie.

Anyway, finals have been generally good so far. I had one completely cancelled due to prof. illness, a paper, and three tests. Of the two tests I've taken, I did pretty well, so I think it's a good week so far.

But I worry about tomorrow. Final test in a class I absolutely stink in. Oy, this is not going to be good. That's why I am going to be reading all night. :D
