It seems they allow death and the concept of death to be discussed.

Let's see...
-mild to moderate sexual innuendo/suggestive jokes
-cartoonish violence a la Looney Tunes (though whether or not network TV allows it is debatable)
-action or violence that results in death or grievous bodily harm
-Use of weapons (guns, knifes, swords, chainsticks--I heard in Britain, they don't allow scenes of people using chainsticks in movies and on TV)
-acts that may be considered imitatable (some scenes of suicide, drinking, smoking, gambling, doing dangerous stunts)
nothing

all of the previous statments need to be placed in some sort of context.
to outright suggest that CN allows blanket depictions of such acts, is inviting parents to flood the network and complain... which will lead to the sort of editing that doesn't allow for a coherent storyline.
Guns, sex, drugs, and violence.

CN allows ballistics to be fired....you know, missiles and such. Fox doesn't allow that.

The word "jackass" in written form (in classic cartoons). The word "sexy" in TV-Y7.

candy17, You forgot the about the near nudity as well (Does Dexter running around Nearly buck naked count? As well as the one scene of KND where the kids are literally blown out of their Polar suits in that one Ep? (No?) Well it happened!:narf:
Adult Swim.
and with that Adult swim angle you can add in a bit of Bondage too..(Okay Faye Valentine being Handcuffed could count as that, not to mention all those Nasty explosions and Laster blasts in other Adult Swim Shows...
hmmmm seems that says it all..:narf:

Not true... at least if Looney Tunes is any indication. I saw the Chuck Jones show tonight, or part of it anyway. I had to turn it off after "the Scarlett Pumpernickel". Daffy shoots himself at the end of the cartoon... and both the shot and the line before it out, leaving only an orphaned punchline.
Heck, they wanted to/dropped Speedy Gonzalez at one point. I don't think CN shows anything much beyond what broadcast kids TV doesn't, outside of Adult Swim, which arguably doesn't count.

I don't really see too much difference between CN and FOXBOX.

Looney Tunes are not an indication. Cartoon Network does not anything much slip with them. A few cases of cartoonish violence might be the only scenes in Looney Tunes that Cartoon Network, but not major networks, allowed.

Except, (among many other reasons) that
A. Cartoon Network isn't owned by 4Kids
B. Cartoon Network dosen't have 3 breaks between each show
C. Cartoon Network dosen't squish down credits and have clips play in them from other shows.
