I just noticed that the '80s GI Joe cartoons are now airing on Boomerang.

How hard would it be for CN to get the rights to other '80s stuff like Transformers, Inspector Gadget, He-Man, or Jem? I would like to see those on TV again. I get Boomerang, but old HB stuff just doesn't appeal to me.

Harder then it did to get the rights to GI Joe, but I'm sure it could be done, but they'd have to have enough reason to do so.

He-Man is owned by Hallmark along with She-Ra, TMNT, and several other 80's cartoons. I hear CN tried to get them but Hallmark wouldn't put up a good price. So they are still locked in the vault.

Inspector Gadget is owned by DiC, and we've got KotZ so I guess it isn't totally out of the question.

Transformers has too many hands in the pie. So it would take a lot of negotiating to get it on CN or Boomerang.

But weren't Sunbow, Marvel, and Hasbro all involved with G.I. Joe, also?

If DiC put it into The Program Exchange (http://programexchange.com) there would be a pretty good chance. Though I don't know how well it would fit in on Boomerang.

Don't know, but if Joe made it to Boomerang, then how long will it be before they put Thundercats up there?

I believe so but Joe wasn't a hot property at the time Ted Turner decided to buy it. I'm sure they tried for Transformers G1 as well but couldn't get it.
