Anyone collect cels?

Most of the ones I've gotten are from Cardcaptor Sakura, but I have one each from Dragonball, Pokemon, Gargoyles and TMNT.

--I do have a framed picture of Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner which I picked up several years ago at a fair for a couple of bucks (I won it for popping balloons with darts). I don't know if it's an actual cel, as those babies usually go for hundreds of dollars at much more respectable venues than a carny gaming booth...but it seems to be a genuine copy of an imitation designer fake, adapted from an actual scene in a Jones cartoon. Wile E. is seated on a rock reading a cookbook, and his head is turned towards the bird, face agape with surprise. The text "Coyote: Carnivorus vulgaris" is under him, and in the lower right corner is a bear trap and a sign announcing free birdseed. It's not much, but I'm proud of it....

Actually, I believe that was a 1987 marketing image. I have a poster with the exact same image on it that I bought as Six Flags once, and it has a 1987 copyright. Wile E. is on a rock in the desert reading a Roadrunner cook book, with the bird surprising him and a beartrap advertising free birdseed in the background. What you have might be a publicity sericel or something...it's probably worth something, though.

Wow! Where'd you get a Gargoyles cel??? I'd kill for one of those.

My g/f and I have quite a few cels. WeE have 7 Batman Animated cels, and I have several cels from the Japanese Transformers cartoons.

I've got a few:

Michagan J. Frog, in frog mode, being held up by human hands while croaking. That never fails to put a smile on my face.

A line-up of villains from B:TAS.

A gorgeous, large shot of Clayface and Batman fighting. Batman's doing a flying kick into CF... looks great.

The shot from the title sequence of Animaniacs where they say, Pinky and the Brain-y! It's got the heads of the Warner Brothers on the edges, with the mice in the middle.

I'd get more, but Warner Brothers, in their infinite wisdom, stopped marketing cels. I'd love to have something with Wile E. in it, or possibly Daffy. I'd also like to get a Disney cel or two... something from Mulan or TENG. I found a Darkwing Duck production cel that I'm physically restraining myself from buying.

I see a lot of them at auctions, many of which out at sea on cruises. Because of what I have, I make it my business to go to all the out to sea auctions my cruiselines have to offer. About two years ago I got a piece containing the collection of Avengers members (Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America). And on my most recent trip I got a cell from Spiderman's last season (not Unlimited) and a huge Simpsons piece with every character ever on the show (the good ones anyway).

I want more Batman and Superman though. Spiderman too. After I bought the last one, I saw an awesome production cell of Superman blocking a bullet (a speeding yellow light) with his hand shot by Lobo as he holds Lois hostage. The want list continues!
