It's the 11th Episode of Sonic X, and what's it about. Not exactly sure, but I do know it contains the SA2 Female Playable Character Rouge The Bat, making her first REAL appearance in Sonic X (she made a small cameo in Episode One). Also, this episode dosen't have Knuckles in it, which is weird. Oh well, this should be intresting. Will Rouge be friend or foe? Will they get Rachel Lillis to Voice her (You know, the Nurse Joy VA from Pokemon and Mai from Yu-Gi-Oh. I'd say she'd be perfect for Rouge, if they didn't use her already as the news caster and one of Chris's friends. Oh well)? What does Sonic have to say about this? Anyway, find out the questions here by reading and reviewing.
Rouge's voice is almost the exact opposite of her SA2 voice. Not sure if I really like it though.
Surprised they left in the guard's guns.
Heh, Sonic's still hooked on that baseball game.
Why does 4Kids insist on making 90% of all officials (military, etc.) voices that makes them sound really stupid.
I'll bet everyone's happy they're taking another kid with them.
At least they made the Bomb Bracelet stylish.
Love the feud between Rouge and the female cop.
And so Rouge starts her double-life as an agent...
Man, all that running and they're not out of breath.
Ah, Rouge's special move from the games. Cool.
I never thought they'd make sexy-ish porn music for Rouge. And it's about as good as porn music too.
Hmm, Rouge's voice suits her personality. 4Kids really tried to go with the "sexy" voice for her. Pretty good, I think.
I was wondering why the chaos emeralds looked like octagons in the old games and like diamonds in the new. How could I be so blind? They've always been shaped like diamonds, but look like octagons from an areial (sp?) view. Silly me.
Rouge's insults to Topaz = priceless.
I have to say that the saxophone music drove me crazy, playing it every 3 blasted minutes!
3 out of 5.
Next week: The to-the-point title Beating Eggman.

Wow! The best episode since "Cracking Knuckles" I like Rouge the Bat! Her voice is perfect and her character is amusing. The bickering between her and Topaz was hilarious. It was also neat to see her love of diamonds and her special attacks carried over from Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle). The bit with Cream, Amy and the Pizza was worth a smile too. One other point I enjoyed was that I just KNEW Rouge would turn on Topaz after the commercial break. But, no, I was pleasently surprised! Oh, and that bracelet was the bomb. :) (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

I thought this episode was better than recent ones. Then again, it was not Chris-centered and Amy did not have much of a role. I got the impression that Rouge just wants to see the emeralds and not necessarily remain loyal to the other forces of evil. Sonic not completely carrying out his task is my only significant problem with this episode. Rating: 7 / 10

Why not? I kind of like that. It is second only to simply outsmarting them. :p

So, who did they use for Rouge?
(And It wasn't Rachel Lillis Who does Joy and Mai, That's Megan Holisted your thinking about, She did those chracters and Vaykrine in the Psx game Vaykrine Profile)

Entering Of The Female Bat Jewel Theif/Goverment Agent Rouge in the Sonic X Episode Review of "Fly Spy".
Odd on how this was the first episode (I'm trying to forget "House Party" existed) of Sonic X where Sonic really didn't do anything. Let's see: He nearly fell of the plane, ran a bit, found the empty warehouse and... that's it. Although it is known now that everyone defintley knows about Sonic and crew (well everyone important anyway) and the government even wanted his help against Eggman (although if they were going to use what they used against Rouge, I don't see why they would think he would help). Then again, he was not the star of the show today. That would be Rouge: Whose personality was transfered flawlessly from SA2, in fact, I'd say Sonic X did a better job of it. Having her not only be a treasue theif, but a reason for being a member of the Government (They kinda forced her into doing it on the grounds she won't be charged for stealing that gem, but she only wanted to join on the chance she could get closer to the Chaos Emerald). Not to mention introducing a pretty likeable human character (Topaz) who looks to be Rouge's partner. Good luck with that. Anyway, Rouge was the star today, having more flight time in this one episode then Tails probably will in the entire series (and no Tails, with your plane dosen't count) and not to mention taking out that robot crew and swiping the jewel. Nice job. This gets an A.
And now for LITTLE SONIC FACTS.
1. And now we know: Despite the fact that they know about Chaos Control, The Events of SA2 have not happened... yet. This is most obvious when Eggman dosen't even know who Rouge is.
2. This episode leaned more to the idea that Rouge will (for now) be a Gem Thief (when she gets the chance at least) and a Goverment Agent. In SA2, she gave up being a Government Agent at the end, and in the Archie Comics, she really wasn't a Gem Thief.
3. Apparently, The X Tornado's a four seater now cause Tails, Amy, Chris and uh...Chris's friend are seen riding it at once. How I pine for the days when Tails Plane could only have him riding it and Sonic on the wings bashing robots. Oh well, gotta move on with the times I guess.
So this is Sonic X without Sonic..(ok he was there for a little bit)
What is up with Chris? Does everyone know about them now? Then what was the point of being all secretive early on..
So the gem was a trap all along.. I wonder if that teacher guy(forgot his name) knew it was a trap..
I liked how Rouge made fun of Topaz.
Is that the only move Rouge knows?? she did it like 5 times in a row practically..
lol. The Eggman explosion scene was funny. The look on his face was hilarious. :D
Obviously Sonic was not focused in this episode.
Overall a B. I thought it was a good episode, it had tons of humor and getting to see a lot of Rouge made of for the lack of Sonic. Still wonders amaze me how the Tornado X became a 4 seater but I guess maybe they thought know one would notice..

I didn't like Rouge's voice. At all. Its not cute, they're trying to make it sexy...but its not. I thought the SA2 voice was perfect, a good combination of cute and sexy, which fit her character fine. But this one...its all...ugh... I don't know...maybe it will grow on me with a few more episodes.
Other then Rouge's voice, I thought this was a good episode.
Next up, Big the "bad ass mofo" Cat. Now its going to be real hard to screw up Big's voice...but now...I'm thinking 4Kids might.
What is up with Chris? Does everyone know about them now? Then what was the point of being all secretive early on..
Chris probably didn't think the world was ready, but evidentally they are.
So the gem was a trap all along.. I wonder if that teacher guy(forgot his name) knew it was a trap..
Probably, seeing as how he works for the government and all..
Is that the only move Rouge knows?? she did it like 5 times in a row practically..
It's the only special move she really knows. At least, in SA2 anyway.
BTW, Chris's friend is named Danny.

Well actually, there is the Dark Wave attack she has (used in the fight with Knuckles if you play the Dark Side in SA2) and the other couple of moves she has in battle mode (the butt slame move and the version of Time Stop).

Since you can't use them in her levels, I don't consider them official moves. Hell, that Time Stop attack would be SO helpful in Security Hall.

Sonic X finally seems to be getting on track. I liked last week's episode as well, but this one was especially good. Personally, I thought they found a suitable VA for Rouge. On top of that, Topaz is the first human character introduced in this series who I actually like.
Nice to see they kept Rouge's role as a secret agent intact for the series. I'm guesssing they'll get around to a Sonic Adventure 2 adaption around episode 40 or so, since I believe the Japanese version is still in the middle of the chaos saga at this point (edit: nevermind, they started the SA2 adaption in episode 33). I'm definetely looking forward to next week's ep.

I liked this one more than the others.
the only problem I had with the episode is that Rouge didn't yell "spiiiiiiin Kik!" when she attacked :(

Rather nice episode, better then the other no-use Sonic episodes. I could of actually done without Sonic and the others seeing as they weren't needed at all in this episode. Pretty good VA for Rouge, a bit better fitting then the SA2 VA in my opinion. Those comments between Topaz and Rouge were pretty funny as well. My only real problem is with how the whole world now somehow knows about Sonic and his friends. That's a pretty big plot hole if you ask me.......3.5/5

Man, whenever it's Rouge's scene, her porno-sax character theme always comes on. :D
Reminds me of Jessica Rabbit actually....
I knew Sonic wouldn't play a very big roll, I just knew it! ...But that was okay because Rouge did play a big roll.
I really liked this episode, and Rouge and Topaz are great. :D I didn't like Rouge's voice much for the first few minutes, but it grew on me shortly.
And it's interesting to see why Rouge became a spy for the government.
So, are Knuckles and Rouge going to have that love/hate relationship in the anime, too? :p

Finally we got to see Rouge :D , My only regret is that I wasn't able to tape this one. Oh well that's what reruns are for.
