Here, have a press release.

William Shatner, star of Star Trek and T. J. Hooker, appears on Cartoon Network’s longest running original series, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, on Sunday, December 7, at 11:30 (ET, PT). In the episode, titled “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed,” Space Ghost is called away from his interview with the Priceline pitchman to let the heating and air/conditioning technician into Zorak’s apartment. An epic space battle ensues. Meanwhile, Zorak and Moltar continue to interview the man who played Captain Kirk. Moltar regales Shatner with fan fiction. Shatner opines on the delights of riding a donkey bareback.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast, the planet’s only late-night talk show hosted by a cartoon superhero, combines celebrity interviews and assorted nonsense for the weirdest talk show in the universe. Joining Space Ghost, as always, are archenemies Moltar and Zorak, who have been enslaved as unwilling members of his late-night crew. Zorak is leader of the show’s band. Moltar is director. Space Ghost Coast to Coast is part of Adult Swim, Cartoon Network’s late night block of animation aimed at adults.

Adult Swim is Cartoon Network’s highly rated block of animation for adults. Airing Sunday-Thursday from 11 p.m.-2 a.m. (ET, PT), Adult Swim is #1 in its time period on all of ad-supported basic cable with adults 18-24 and adults 18-34. Adult Swim features original comedies including Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law; popular favorites like Family Guy and Futurama; and dynamic action-adventure shows like Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha.

William Shatner? No he wasn't. This would be his first time. Anyway, sounds like a great episode, but I'll only reserve judgement to after seeing it. Although I wonder whose Star Trek fanfiction would be worse: Moltar's or Melllvar's (From The Futurama's episode "Where No Fan Has Gone Before").

Well, Shatner was on a few episodes of Family Guy. "Beam me up, God!" Shatner on Space Ghost should be a laugh riot, so long as he doesn't just sit there. Hopefully he brings some of his trademark Star Trek speech patterns into it. Assuming the TV is free on Dec. 7, I'll try to watch it!

"KHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Seth's Shatner impression ruled.

Personally, I can't wait for the episode with the Seths on Space Ghost in December. (Macfarlane, and Green.)
