Excitement from FG nearly made me miss Brak show.

George Takei is the bomb...
the Dad is so freaking hilarious, he's been carrying this show of late.
The new eyes was funny. Poor mom's didn't work.
That was a really hairy chest.
Yay! Zorak shoots..
Nice commercial. almost predictable they weren't gonna be used much.

Overall a B. Good episode. They did enough of everything..

Hey, what do ya know, a funny Brak Show episode!!

I loved the Japanese-style eyes (and the fact that Brak's mom's eyes wouldn't work) and the commercial at the end reminded me of the Mr. Sparkles commercial from the Simpsons. I honestly can't think of anything wrong with this episode.

Now that we know that the Brak Show CAN be funny without being annoying, I'll keep watching in the hopes that there will be more "Sexy New Brak"-quality episodes.

While still not equaling/surpassing ATHF's "Interfection", this Brak Show comes pretty close with great satire and very funny comedy material, earning an A++ from me.

I loved the parody of Japanese iconography, both advertisement and anime. The satire on commercialism was dead-on. And I love how "dad" is running away with the show these days, although Brak hisself was in great form tonight. I liked how he got all Stimpy on us with the cockeyed drooling stuff. "Mom" was halarious ambling around the set with the weird eyes; big LOL when she fell over. Excellent timing on that gag.

I loved how they all got increasingly more Japan-ad-style-ized as it went along. The show as they watched it at the end was histerical, again capturing the oddly translated charm of Japanese ad style.

Why did Sisto disappear after the first season?

Actually, Sisto disappered in the season two episode "Pepper". He was written out mostly because he was a one joke character (appearing in a scene and then farting) and the writers ran out of places to put that joke or something.

Well...I didn't hate it. It was Brak Show spoofing Japan spoofing product placement, then spoofing Japan, then spoofing Brak Show, then spoofing Japan.

They could've given him more than one joke to keep him on. The Brak Show needs all the help it can get. Not saying it's bad, it'd just add to it.

It was just the needed to fill the void of pefectness from last week's episode. It was great te mention of Sisto & American voiced Mom. Zorak YAY!!!!!!!!! The usual Clearance beating. George Takai(the card's were lying again). The japanesee eyes, & Mom being blinded by them. & all the other japanesee stuff. Score: *****

Great show. Definetely one of the better Brak Show episodes. They've definetely gotten a better handle on how to use the characters in the show.

Side Note: The music in the back ground of the final ad/show sounded a lot like Josh Wink's "Higher States of Consciousness." It wasn't credited though, so it could have just been something out the needle drop library. Granted, George Takei wasn't credited as himself either.

An okay episode overall, but some parts made me laugh. Loved the self-referential humor at the end. The anime-styled big eyes were funny and somewhat creepy at the same time. I was amused by the "replace characters with products (with big eyes)" gag, too.

They could've used Thundercleese as the perfect vehicle to poke fun at giant-robot animes, and it probably would've fit better than the whole Zorak/Clarence bit, but oh well. I should just be happy we got to see the two of them at all.

I'd give it a B.

this ep is.. well i loved it

the japanese baseball guy was great and at the end the dancing robot squad boosted this from a- to a+

my fav moments?

as before mentioned the baseball guy
dancing robots
the box opening as a contract
the names of everything
the lime soda song
zorak with a ak viewtiful (not a typo)
look i will just spare some time and say all except the first part with the asking
if brak could open the box

PS. could we get a brak smilie with anime eyes? come on whos with me!

Brilliant, I don't see how anyone who's seen one Japanese comercial couldn't laugh at that.

BTW I'm sure that the baseball player guy making a cameo during the part with the Giant Monster was a refrence to last year's "Godzilla x Mechagodzilla" in which a famous baseball player made a cameo in the film. Don't remember the dude's name, but he plays for some US team now. His nickname is, coincidently, "Godzilla".
