Well, I'm not sure if this has been brought up before (if it has, I plead that the vets don't Tar-'N'-Feather me), but is it possible to bring an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) to these forums? I like the idea of having an [adult swim] IRC channel where people can congregate and talk about anything they feel like.
As a member of many different forums, I have noticed that the chatroom brings the members closer together, and also makes for some entertaining situations.
If this is in any way possible, and we could scrounge together some Ops to patrol the chat, I think it would be a great idea. If not, these forums are still incredibly good without it.
Just my 2 cents.

Thing is, with a forum, when someone says something inappropiate you can delete the post and if they go out of line you can ban them. And most people won't go through the whole process of signing up for a message board just to screw around. In IRC, some people live to spam others or whatever is that floats their boat. I'm not saying a chat is a bad idea, just that initially, we may run into some crap. And then sometimes on IRC they have netsplits and you lose Ops and such.

Heh, I'm usually in a couple of IRC chats at any given time.
I would be for it, actually, for this forum...don't know how to set a channel up myself, though. =P

I know me, and I would most certainly say something that was mindnumbingly offensive, post a naughtly link, etc and that would be the end of that.

Well, me & Spaz DID set up an IRC room...but we've only had two people in besides ourselves, so far. =P
Eh, I'll try and get people to come during Adult Swim tommorow. If nobody cares, then we'll stop trying. =P

Chatrooms are good sometimes in my opinion. If someone give me an link just Pm it to me. Plus I like talking to people on chatrooms at most times. :anime:

So, if I were to enter the link gien above manually into whatever IRC program I'm using, it'd be "irc.mircx.com" with "#adultswim" as the channel? Just asking sice the link doesn't work for me, and I don't actually use MIRC.

Yah, that was fun for the whole family. Started slow...but then business picked up and then I wasted 3 and half hours of my life fooley cooleying around.
I checked it out, but my connection was lagging hardcore so I couldn't get in the conversation. I would get 3-4 lines of text at a time, which was incredibly annoying. Next week resnet'll probably have their act toghether...

Next, when I ask an op politely to /hop, because I made them a WB...and then said op says "I don't trust you"...well, that's just stupid.
YOU DIDN'T EVEN VOICE ME. I can't do **** to you.
/hop is just hopping in and out of the channel. That's it.
So, let's review. People need sanity before becoming ops.
Oh, and LS, if you don't want someone taking your nick, register it. (Note: I wasn't the one who did it. I just recommend that everyone register their nick if they don't want it taken.)

If you registered the nick, simply type:
/msg nickserv ghost landstander password
and he gets his rear end booted out of your nick. :D Any chance we can more to Aniverse? I like Half-ops.
