They're finally bringing the Rowdyruff Boys back? And having them team up with Him?! I haven't been able to watch PPG at all regularly since the end of the third season (I only saw 4 episodes from the last 2 seasons), but I'm going to make a special effort to watch it tonight.
Yeah, I'm a closet PPG fan. Big whoop. Wanna fight about it? And I also make Family Guy references. Big whoop. Wanna fight about it?

Hmmm, you know that it was going to happen. I've read some Powerpuff Girl fanfiction, and a good deal of these fanfics have the RRB coiming back somehow and being love intrests of the PPG. Let's see how it's done for real. I have a feeling that this time they're gonna be sticking around though as real villians though, at least for awhile. How else could they come back in next week's episode?

Please be good. Please be good. Please be good. Please be good.
this episode would have been perfect, had it not almost made me puke -_-
but seriously, it gets a B.
(coming soon: PPGs become bed wetters  )

Nice episode, except for one thing: With this and the bedwetting episode, I'm getting worried that the show will soon be swamped with toilet humor. Honestly, I'm glad they stopped with the slug scene. I just wanted fights.

A Good episode.Highlights included Bommer playing with his hair and a fly when the RRB ariso from the ground,Butch's excitement over fighting,"When their maskalinity is threatened they shrinkin size."and the scene that followed that sentence. An A-.

Yeah, forgot to mention one of the big pluses: The boys now have PERSONALITIES.
The new hair's cool, too, although now Butch looks like an insane Saiyan.

WOW! THAT WAS A COOL EPISODE! I loved it when the RRB were grossing the PPG out and playing games. :p It was funny when Blossom pants Brick :D (I thought she was going to give him a wedgie) The RRB's personalities haved develop quite well (Brick-Being the leader and smart guy, Boomer-The Dumb One, and Butch-The Wild One). I'm glad that the RRB are staying as regular villians. But since Him brought them back to life, are they going to hang with him? I hope not. I want to them to go solo. I wonder if the RRB are going to spend some time with their dad, Mojo? A

Of Course You Know, This Episode Will Lead To War In The Battle Of The Sexes, But For Now It's Just "The Boys Are Back In Town" Powerpuff Girls Episode Review.
It's offical. The Powerpuff Girls are back, and how can you tell? Intresting stories, very good fight scenes, and some intresting sexual innuendo. Here's the skinny
Intresting Stories: Remember when I said PPG is littered with RRB revival stories and that we'll see how the creative team does with they're own? Well, they did a bang up job. Intresting to note that it was Him who revived them and gave them cootie shots, making them immune to the Girls kisses. Which led to how the girls are going to actually defeat them. It made them seem so helpless, espically when they're kisses made the boys grow to giant size and they really started laying the smackdown. It actually looked like the PPG were defeated for a second, but then... well, we'll get to that later.
Very Good Fight Scenes: This episode had a pretty good bunch of them, from the PPG's kicking some monster butt to going toe to toe (even if they don't have any) with the Rowdy Ruff boys. Good amounts of superpowers tossed around, and some intresting new ways of fighting in the second half (Rollerbrawl, Ulimate Beating. Really showed just how helpless the PPG were against the RRB, until the)
Intresting Sexual Innuendo: The PPG has gotten away with some intresting little sexual innunedo (a character being named "Dick Hardly" an episode called "Forced Kin" and uh... most of "Something's A Ms") but check out this quote from the episode "It seems that whenever they're manhood is threathened they shrink in size". It dosen't get more obvious then that, outside of the end of "Members Only". Anyway, intresting that this time around the PPG's defeat the RRB by treating them like sissies and shrinking them to incredibley small size. Of course, Him comes and saves them and threathens that it's not over yet. He's right you know. Next week the RRB are coming back, so watch out for that.
However, some of the jokes in this episode were pretty bad. (And I don't mean the PPG insulting the Rowdy Ruff Boy's new haircut's, the RRB's personality (Boomer seems to be the only one with a real shred of common sense) or Him getting the cootie remedy off the internet) I mean the disgusting jokes, like say spitting or throwing scabs at the PPG. Yeah, it's what little boys do, but... do we really want to see that on TV? Anyway, some really gross instances drag an A episode down to a B+. Still good though, but if I watch it again, I'll try to fastforward through those parts, thank you very much.

As the original Rowdyruff Boys episode was one of my two favorite episodes of the series (tied with "Uh, Oh, Dynamo"), I admittedly came into this episode with very high expectations. Needless to say, I was more than a bit disappointed, but it was still an okay episode.
Good things:
The Rowdyruffs actually have personalities this time around.
Him being teamed up with the RRB could have some interesting possibilities, if it's done right.
Some nice fighting scenes, although they get less interesting when the boys get big.
It kept true to the "little boys vs. little girls" concept of the original episode.
The cootie shot... great plot device. ;)
The Rowdyruff Boys are back, and here to stay!
Bad things:
Too much time spent on the RRB doing gross things to the PPG.
Too little time spent on explaining the RRB's return. It would've been great if we got to see Him going back to the site of the RRB's death, collecting the remains, recreating them, and actually administering the cootie shot and/or spell. Instead, it just feels a little too "out of the blue".
The RRB are way too stupid. They've always been immature, but... do they really have to stick their tongues out all the time and babble like morons? (And dance around like demented monkeys? *cough*BUTCH*cough*) Making the RRB stupid really cheapens their worth as equals to the Powerpuffs.
Why new hairdos? The old ones were perfect as evil versions of the PPG's hairstyles.
Overall, I'd give the episode 3.5/5 stars.

Thye could've seriously done without the gross-outs, but other than that it was a good return. Glad they finally gave them personalities.

Please give me a basic summary of the episode......
SUMMARY:
The Powerpuff Girls defeat of a lot of villians (with minimal effort) infuriates Him, who looks over the PPG's track record and sees no one who came close to defeating them, except for one. Later, the PPG defeat a group of monsters when out of the Blue, the RowdyRuff Boys appear (with new haircuts) challenging the PPG's to another fight. The PPG's agree and the battle begins. The fight reaches a stalemate and the girls decide to go defeat them like they did last time, by kissing them. However, all they're kisses do is make them stronger and bigger. Him comes in to explain he revived the RRB, and gave them Cootie shots that not only let the RRB's not be affected by kissies, but also get stronger because of them. The RRB decide to try to gross the girl's out with some gross body humor, and get serious and start wailing on the girls. Boomer then decides to make it more fun by playing a painful game of street hockey (using the PPG as a puck) with Brick and Butch. The PPG's manage to escape for a while and go into hiding, realizing they can't beat the Ultra Powerful RRB's. However, the RRB's find them and play a new game, involving a ring, the PPG's, and some immature torturing. However, the last straw is drawn when they place a slug in Bubble's dress, making Buttercup so mad she bangs up Butch's tounge, and he shrinks a bit in size when the others laugh at him. Blossom realizes that the revived RRB's do have a weakness: "When they're manhood is threathened, they shrink in size". The girls then humilate the RRB a lot, and make them tiny size. However, before they are smushed, Him interfers and saves the RRB, promising that they are back for good and he (along with the RRB) will eventually destroy the PPG. And the episode ends.

Ehhh, it was good till they started that gross out nonsense, AND THEN THEY KEPT DOING IT... Atleast it stopped with the damn slug which didn't make anysence in the first place. It had some funny moments other than just senceless violence...
"You're gonna eat your words, then spit them out, then eat them AGAIN!"
"That doesn't even make sence!"
"I know you are, but what am I!?"
Girls fight the boys, that's about it... it had potential too...

yeah.. now this is twisting the ppg saga in new ways...
first, nice cameos by a bunch of the ppg villians.
that scene in him's dimensional home.. everything just floats about like bathrooms and baseball fields.
the whole sky is like a giant tv (matrix anyone!??!) lots of live action shots as his crib floats around.
nice thing we see more clips of all the ppg episodes to date in one SHOT during him's whole ranting sequence. i wonder why!?!?
ah.. the battle begins.
all the rowdyruff boys have saiyan hairdos! (so that explains everything). and they grow when you show them love , mmm. :D :anime:
interesting things they do in battle with the ppg. poor blossom got snailed ?
this is truly a daring episode. creepy, too at the end when him saves the rrb at the end.
not last place. ding. @_@
p.s. sampo, think you can dig up a picture of the rrb in green doing his silly dance !?!

I don't think that RRB would team-up with HIM. I think HIM just saved them and then they would do whatever they want after words.

I think that the next RRB episode should have the boys going from bad to good and team up with the PPG and after a season or two, I think the creator, Craig McCraken should spin-off the boys and let them do their own show!! And pick up where they girls left off

Yeah, that won't happen. No offense, but you don't have shows off of clones of shows on other characters. It just dosen't work. Besides, Craig plans to work on PPG for awhile, that and the new Imaginary Friends show he's also got in the works.

No offense Passepartout, but I'm just stating facts.
1. There are no plans for anysort of RowdyRuff Boy series. They will probably be important villians in Season 5 (and onward) but that dosen't mean they will get they're own series.
2. There are more PowerPuff Girls episodes ordered (at least Season 6, I believe) and until CN or Gendy quits on them, they will continue to air on TV.
3. Gendy is working on the Imaginary Friends story that will probably be seen (in pilot form) in 2004.
4. Your idea falls somewhere in the realm of fanfiction. If you want to do a RRB story, be my guest. I'll read it even. I'm just saying don't expect to have a TV show based on it.
It's nice that they have given the Rowdyruff Boys some personalities, where as the first really only had Brick with a personality.
Over-all it was a pretty funny episode and I suppose the RRB are here to stay... I like them and all but... I just hope they don't become over-used.

I say ditch the hairdos, and I don't like making two of them dumb/silly. They remind me now of the Gangrene Gang, or to some extent, Ed Edd & Eddy, or that fourth PPG the girls once created. They were fine just was they were in the first one.
(Maybe in the next one, it will be the Gangrene Gang who bring them back). Otherwise, I was hoping Mojo or someone would realize that they could simply be recreated (likewise, why didn't they just reform the Beat-Alls after they were placed back into prison?)

Genndy is busy with Samurai Jack and Clone Wars.

I wonder if the RRB are going to spend some time with Mojo? After all, Mojo is their dad/creator and it would be cute to see a "father & sons" relationship. :p
I missed it... And Cartoon Network's not going to show a second airing??? That's cruel. :(
