"Robot’s Friends get Jones Drunk at a Party."
Maybe his voice will change if that happens.
I'm not looking forward to the second short. The Yogmans are my least favorite characters on the show.

House Party: Great episode. Robot's parents going to get a tune up and I noticed that Dad unit had Robot's real voice. The images that Robot had about Grandfather unit killing his friends because they were intruders was hilarious. The party looked something out of your average 80's movie. Too bad about the oil tank pointing towards Robot during "spin the bottle". :o Eww did that scene with Robot cutting the retainer and Shannon's teeth falling out scare anyone? Socks was going to get some action in the basement until he turned back on Grandfather unit. :anime:
School Newspaper: Robot joins the School Newspaper to keep out of Madman's hair. Robot had some weird interests for pictures like the kid with pee on his hands and all of the ones with Madman. Then Madman plants pranks on the students and make them think it's Robot. Once again we see Shannon's teeth fall out. Why was Denny smiling after Robot said he was inoceny? He even just told Robot that his Gameboy broke and he's now cracking the same Kool-Aid smile when he got kissed in the last episode. Uh-Oh Madman got caught and the parents of the kids never even filed a lawsuit against him and the school board didn't even kick him out. Instead he has to clean out all of the lockers. The system blows.
2 great episode, still poorly done lines being read by Robot's VA.
**** out of *****

And now, for some random observation about Robot Jones
House Party: Robot's middle name is Electro (REJ)

Part 1: Aw, I didn't get to see him drunk. Oh well, but I haven't seen the Grandfather Unit in a long time. I liked the really cheesy new wave music that was playing during the party.
Of course, during the break we all got to experience a simulation of what it would feel like if you were a drunk robot by showing visions of large men dancing and Ed yelling at a guy dressed like him. System error? Probably! :p
Part 2: Now this was great. Of course, as a writer for a weekday college newspaper, the guidelines are very strict, but this gives me some good ideas for the April Fools' Edition...I especially liked Madman eating out of the garbage can. He still hasn't changed; he still doesn't like Robot.
I bet most of you probably didn't get the little reference used with Robot taking pictures - they are referring to "Holmes and Yoyo," a short-lived 1970s sitcom about a detective (Holmes) working with a humanoid robot (Yoyo), and one of the things that Yoyo could do was process film inside his body. Of course, this show is considered to be one of the worst TV shows of all time.
I just love how this show can get away with all of these things! I would like to know something, though - what is the deal with Shannon's metal leg? Was she born without a leg, or did she lose it from something else?

Steven Hawking's love child? Maybe Steve Jobs build her with spare parts in his garage.

noone really knows about shannon's leg, let's just say she's always had a robot's leg until they have it in the plot about how she got it via reminisce.
holmes and yoyo, huh? i think i saw that one. barely remember anything about it though, other than the fact in the 70's i had this shirt with a rectangle and two squares for eyes on it. but i guess if they ever did any remake of that one as a parody, they'll probably have made yoyo a digital camera.
i'm glad though my tastes in tshirts are more towards souvenir ones now.

Highlights of "House Party" included Grampa Unit, the truth-or-dare scene, the bit with Shannon, and the ending. No Chris Reid, though. Out of 5, I give it 4.
Highlights of "School Newspaper" included more tension between Principal Madman (one of my favorite Robot characters), and Robot, the coffee on pants gag, and the Later title card. Out of 5, I give it 4.
When I look past the voice change and such the show isn't that bad. These episodes were pretty good in my opinion and had a few humorous parts. Yeah, it's okay. I'd probably give it a C. Not outstanding but it wasn't bad.

Theres something wrong here... wheres Diana's reviews? There the best!! Oh well...
House Party: Pretty interesting, im suprised of how much they can get away with in this cartoon, with the closet thing... anyways it was pretty good
A-
School Newspaper: Not as good as the first one, but still good. That principal reminds me SO MUCH about Hitler (He even remotely looks like him). B+

So, what's with this GameBox (a spoof on GameBoy) that Cubey was frying with the batteries Robot allegedly left with the shaving cream on the lockers? The GameBoy wasn't invented until 1989, years after this cartoon took place? Where'd Cubey get that piece of electronics? (@_@?)

Robot Jones has a lot of references/fads from the 1970's and 1980's, so it does get confusing sometimes.
Anyway my review:
-House Party was a good episode. Not great, but good. I'm happy to see that Grand-Unit (Gramps-Unit) is featured more, as he was underused in the first season. B
-School Paper episode: Now this was great. Favorite parts/quotes from this episode:
-Robot (after seeing the furnace light up): I always knew she was hot.
-The headline about Principal Madman's "torrid affair with the vending machine".
Grade: A
BTW: I didn't see the Yogmans (the Devo boys) in any of the shorts, yet everyone says they were in the second episode. The only person who looked like one of the Devo boys was the head of the newspaper because of his glasses.
