how would you feel if Adult Swim held a marathon and how would this affect their ratings?

I'd be pretty happy if they did (I love ATHF). I don't think it would affect their ratings in a negative way (unless they showed it instead of the Big O finale.) :p

If they did it, it'd be wise for Adult Swim to air it before Nov. 18- the release date of the Aqua Teen DVD. After all, you could just pop in the 2 DVDs and get through a bunch of episodes in less time, due to no commercials. Either that, or they'd have to air some of the newer episodes not on the DVD, which would also be cool. Aqua Teen is definitely my favorite Williams Street show, next to Space Ghost.

If they did it to market a specific DVD, then it might work with only one show. Otherwise, they should a do a mixed marathon like the New Year's one or last years Halloween one because no matter how much I love a specific show, there's too much of a good thing.

I agree with Speedy Boris. 11/18 and the DVD coming out, it would be wise to make a marathon!

I really don't care one way or the other. I've got every episode on tape. And yes, I'm going to buy the DVD anyway.

There will probably be an ATHF marathon around Christmas week, because not only will they likely run both Christmas episodes of ATHF, but a new episode of the show as well (in order to squeeze all of the episodes in before 2004).

But a "marathon" in the sense that we might actually see isn't a marathon as was suggested...

Ok., that's confsuing, let me clarify:

You expect a marathon to be an hour or more of ATHF.
WS might show an hour of ATHF max, likely no more than 4 episodes.
I'm not sure that 3 or 4 episodes qualifies as a marathon.
If we do see a "marathon," it won't actually be a marathon, but rather merely a block.

I would love an ATHF marathon if only I didn't had to go to bed early just to go to school. :( :mad: :shrug:
