Favorite Candy: A Halloween Special

Halloween is a wonderful time of year where children and adults are allowed to forget about dental hygeine and calories for a moment and indulge in all the gooey, crunchy, and sweet things that make life worth living.

So, what do you enjoy? What do you want in your treat bag when you open it after a night of trick-or-treating?

And, if you feel the need, comment on what candy you absolutely hate as well. :)

As a child, I didn't each much in the way of chocolate bars, gum, or any of that type of sweet stuff. Halloween was always a huge deal to me, due to that fact.

My favourites back then were Reese Peanut Butter Cups and those mini-Aero bars. Love 'em. *LICKS CHOPS*

I was a huge Necco wafer fan for some odd reason. I used to give my brothers all my name brand bars, snickers espcially, and they would give me their Necco wafers. Happy days. :)

My favorite candy would be Zours (doubt anybody knows about those) and Nerds. Can't stand candy corn.

I was always happy to see Milk Duds and Sweet Tarts in my bag.

And since Jade insists :p , I hate everything grape or watermelon flavored. I also hate Werthers Original candy.

Usually hard candies since its a little easier on the waist line.

However, my favorite candy of all time (and a few, like SK can vouch for) is...

SKITTLES!!

Skittles has always been my favorite since they came out all those years ago. In fact, I have been known to gorge on on a 1 or 2lb. bag in a weekend... No wonder why I have a Winnie the Pooh tummy :sweat:

I usually prefer sour candies like skittles and jolly ranchers. But this time of year
my favourite treats were always the little chocolate bars. Espcially the Oh Henrys, Coffee Crisps and Aero bars!

I'm a Tootsie roll addict forced to live in Tootsie exile as we can't get them over here :(

I've gone for gummies, worms, jelly babies, animals etc etc or any other shape as long as they actually have a flavour and aren't just like strips of tasteless rubber, the long gummy strips with the sour coating are hopefully in the bag too.

Same as Lu I love sour candies, especially apple and I'd also settle for liquorice allsorts or Maltesers (whoppers) or mini Dime bars ... or the little toffee apple lollipops you can get in the US and are de-lish too ... and maybe a few of those choc caramel turtles or Goo Goos or whatever you call them, or coffee crisp and then presumably a calorie controlled diet.

NO candy corn, anything with peanuts or grape flavour Tootsie pops thank you :D

seriously though. i like everything in my trick-or-treat bag. it all tastes good! except for that stupid change that old ladies give out. what can i buy with 5 cents? considering penny treats cost a dime now :sad:

Without a doubt, my fav is candy corn. :anime: Not only is it corn, but it's candy! I only eat Brach's b/c that generic (though cheaper) always tastes funny..... :sad:

I love all kinds of candy. I feel so bad for you Rune! I gave out Tootsie Rolls and Tootsie Roll pops for Halloween. In my neck of the woods, you can get 3 pound bags of them this time of year. In fact, I am probably going to go to the stores on November 1st and see what candy I can find that's marked down.

Hey, it's not like right after Halloween it goes bad just because it has skeleton wrapping. I always love buying candy the day after the holiday. Suddenly it goes from 4 dollars a bag to 50 cents. BOOYAH!

Anyway, what is my favorite candy?

Well, used to be Necco wafers, another New England kind of taste.

Favorite candy bar is 3 Muskateers. I also like those Midnight Milky Ways. *drools*

I adore Candy Corn, but for some reason, the bigger shapes of this sugar confection make me vom. You know, the big pumpkins and whatnot that they sometimes mix in with the smaller shaped candy corn? Too much sugar for any real human to consume.

I would say that when I open my bag on Halloween, I would want to see Bubble Gum (great for college, it helps keep hunger at bay when pulling an all nighter without good snacks).

Which I also forgot to put on the poll. There's just too much good candy to put down. I am so sad now. :D:D:D

I might have wanted more gummies, which I got almost none of, but that is just as well. When it comes to gummies, I have a problem with overeating. Then again, I overate with all candies back then. I was also a fan of necco wafers.

I know, when I got done I figured it would be one of the hardest polls ever, mainly becaus epeople usually like a selection of candy, not just one type. So, I already apologized for forgetting the awesome and handy *all* option. :)

It was even hard for me to vote, and I don't even consider myself a candy fiend. :)
