aw thank you all. *blush* so many nice words. went out and got slightly drunk last night, flirted with a finnish girl who was far sharper and funnier than me so I ran away :D and this morning my two closest flatmates work me up early (9.20!!!) and had the flat laid out with decorations and cards - they fed me croissants and strawberry milkshake (my favourite!) and took photos of my half awake face as I tried to take it all in.


Been a funny day so far - thanks for the kind words. you are all such wonderful people!

Thanks everyone. Had a cool day. Wasn't too well, throat was a little icky, but after the morning entertainment, I went back to my mother's to be taken out to an Italian restaurant which sits overlooking the sea. I went with my next door neighbour Doug, my sister, my grandmother and my closest friend Alison from my residence at Uni. Got some great stuff. Alison got me a Flash Gordon DVD *bounce*, my grandmother got me the Chicago DVD (yay at last - it's mine!), my mother spent out on a graphics tablet and some cheap weights (I can't afford the Gym at Uni).

All the people in my halls signed a big poster on the wall by my door, and a couple who are very nice to me, a guy for Denmark and a girl from Argentina (enjoying a short semester relationship) got me a Star Wars colouring book and Star Wars II DVD. I was very touched. I've known these students for only 8 weeks or so and they've been so good to me.

Went to a karaoke club at night (no I didn't sing - see the first paragraph for details on ooky throat) which rounded off a fun day!)

Thanks to everyone, lots of kind words and I appreciate them all!
