It seems kind of weird. We do know that Hordak does indeed exist in this new continuity, but he only appeaered briefly in a flashback. Is it possible that they'll bring him back and maybe elaborate on him? Perhaps they'll show him changing from a sorccerer to more of a sci-fi overlord guy.

That being said is it possible that the reason he hasn't shown up is that he's already left the planet and taken over Etheria.

Whether or not he has taken over is key to the next question, is it possible that the great rebelion "does" exist on Etheria.

I see a spinoff if it ever exists being targeted more at a female audience between 9 and 13, but written in a more dramatic or...well I hate to use the word soap opera, but yeah that's what I see.

It would be diffrent from He-man fundamentaly because it would be about freeing a planet from a great evil, as oppose to He-man's plot of protecting a planet from a great evil.

And there's also a place for some good philisophical debate with Etheria in its pure state having nature and magic, while Etheria in its enslaved state is under the burden of evil technology.

She-Ra if appeared would need backstory drasticly changed....people don't fall for that secret sibling stuff anymore....they could have her be part of Hordak's brigade in the beginning but she could become she-ra to save the other dimention in a form of redemption...

You know, I have this theory (see other She-Ra thread) about them only appearing in an episode and the possible chance of appearing in more, but I think it would only happen next season at earliest, unless there's more of a surprise in this season then I know of.

Well I just edited the rest of my thoughts into the original post so thats how I think it might work.

I don't know people don't complain about Star Wars having the "secret sibling" idea. If written properly it could be very impressive, and I think far surpass in level of the current under achieving He-man cartoon (just my opinion mind you) in deapth, story, and drama.

And yeah I buy into the whole redemption thing, perhaps Adora would see being She-ra as her only redemption, and her way of atoning for her sins against the people of her planet.

You could also have her rebelling against her "father figure" Hordak, and turn out a whole mess of intrigue.
