I am not talking about eating something that's spoiled, or gone beyond expiration date, but I am talking about eating something and it undeniably tastes like something else, something that should NOT be part of that food, fresh or spoiled.
I once bit into a Snickers bar and I tasted the taste of pee. I swear, PEE. I spit it out and threw it away on the spot.
Today I got a cheese burger and fries for lunch, and the burger and fries were great, but the ketchup (which came in little packets) tasted like, and I exagerrate not at all, it tasted like PUKE. I ate my fries without any ketchup at all. I could not blame the place I got the food from on this, as the ketchup was made my Hunts and was in those small packets.
Hearing about all the bad things that can and does happen to our food in factories and in kitches, I am at the point that if I taste anything off like this, I am not toching it, and I am not touching it for a long, long time.

Things like this have happened to be so many times, I've just lost count.

Once I had a cup of Sprite in my hand, but I was so accostomed to drinking milk with my dinner, that when I drank it, expecting milk, I tasted the worst thing ever. even though I technically only tasted Sprite, but apparently Taste is a mental thing too, cuz it tasted like a fusion of Sprite (what it was ) and milk (what my mind mistaknely was expecting)
YUCK!
I once opened my mouth to put a can of Dr. pepper up to it to gulp, and a mosquito flew right in there and down my throat, before I even got the can to my lips.

I once encountered a Cheeto in a bag of Doritos. But when I ate the Cheeto it tasted like a Dorito.
Six months later when I regained the ability to speak, I told a friend. He didn't beleive me.

I can relate to this. I once bought a sour apple sucker and, I swear, It smelled like feces. Needless to say, I didn't eat it. However, I did save it to let other people smell it and they thought the same thing.
On the lighter side, a candy store in Chicago used to sell these cookies that tasted just like Froot Loops.

How the heck did that happen? Were you eating something with onion in it before?
Anyway, I have sharp taste buds and can tell if something sucks the minute it touches my lips.
However, there was this one time where I was waiting for class and I was in the student lounge of my school and this guy had sushi (or some sort of Japanese food wrapped in rice), so I asked him for a piece, dipped it in soy sauce and ate it. At first taste, it was just cold and slimy, as if I were eating an eel tail first and slowly easing it down my throat, and I wanted to spit it out, but I swallowed it and found it to be...different (hey, I've never had Japanese food before).
But here's one thing that has started to taste bad to me: hot dogs. I don't know why, but every time I eat one, I just want to spit it out again.

Just last night, I ordered a side of fries from some delivery place that were...quite odd. First of all, they were a very unusual brown color, and much more squishy than fries should be. I bit into one and told my friends it tasted very weird. In fact, it tasted unlike any other fry (or food, for that matter) I've ever had before. I kept eating it, though, so they asked me if it was good. "No, not really," I said. "So...why are you eating it?" I responded, "Well, I'm....intrigued by it."
I kept eating the fries, but I was never able to put my finger on what in the world they tasted like. It didn't taste bad or good, it was just...odd.
Also, one time I ordered a pizza with a few other people and the consensus was that the pizza had no flavor. None. It didn't taste like pizza; it didn't taste like anything. It was just....there. It was very strange.

Oh....that. :o
Yeah. That was a lie.
Stuff like that happens all the time, especially with processed foods, since the flavor is manufactured. It's possible to make food that tastes & smells like urine (or feces...or just about anything else) without altering it's appearance or nutritional value.
Jellyfish at my uncle's wedding.
I ate a Kit Kat earlier that tasted like Peanut Butter. X_x;
I've eaten hundreds of Kit Kats over the years, and NONE of them have tasted like PB... go figure. :p

Oysters = flavorless snot, which you would think is a good thing since snot really doesn't taste good with a flavor, however you'd really be wrong. It's nothing like saliva.
s'all there is.

Are you sure the Kit Kat wasn't melted because with me, that's when it tastes like PB...or was it a PB Twix? They do kinda taste alike.
