Here's the talkback for tonight's Dragonball Z!
An Ok episode
Videl really comes off as annoying and arrogant in these series of episodes. I guess I should've expected that since I felt the same way about Hercule when he was first introduced.
To have been revealed by Videl to be Saiyaman but then to lie to her about being the gold fighter makes no freaking sense.
Overall a C+. For an episode that had Gohan's identity revealed to Videl, it was a major disappointment for me. Why deny Goku's his father? Is he embarrassed or something... Looks like the Gohan focused episodes have come to an end, and after this one I saw gladly bring on Goku and co.

Simple. He doesn't want reporters crowding his house, wanting interviews with the Great Saiyaman, Protecter of the city and son of the guy that beat King Piccolo and was the former champ.

Actually, how Videl found out Gohan's identity was much different (and much quicker) in the manga. It happens in her first meeting with Great Saiya-man, at which she tells the costumed fighter that he's Gohan! (She explains that their voices are the same). The blackmail scene occurs right after, though the setting is also different: Videl speaks to the costumed but unhelmeted Gohan in her jetcopter.

I don't know why but I just seem to enjoy the Saiyman Saga. It's kind of a guilty pleasure I guess. Gohan keeps trying to be "cool" but he such a goof.
Shame, I was just starting to really like Saiyaman, too.
Gohan's right: Videl IS really mean... If I was him, I'd have to resist my urges to just beat her up and get it over with. :p

Don't worry; As the story continues, Videl retains her tough attitude but softens toward Gohan.
