The second to last episode of Kenshin on Cartoon Network! (Unless Cartoon Network does something to astound me, and at this point they're not currently capable of it.)
EDIT: I forgot there was one more episode next week, but don't get your hopes up to seeing any more.
:eek: the final episode is tonight! Dang..... Well, maybe they will replace that rotting hamster in the wheel that provides intelect and start another season

I know it's gonna be the final ep. of the 2nd season. Awe man. If it is the final ep. i gonna be really sad cause there are more episodes than this.

hhhmmm,well i looked around after that and found a scedual saying from what i saw 3 other new episodes when you exclude the one airing tonight!ok CN and WS! spill the beans!how many more RK shows are yah showing?!wait a minute,end of second seson,ha,they may have a brain after all.....
maybe they will air more RK in a few months after 2 or if we are lucky,1 repeat! then again i just wish they show constant new episodes

then if they get to be them i want to be a villager who waches the battle on the pipes with some gunpowder in a sack,which i spinkle on shishio causing him to explode,then he sees me and chases me,the battosi spirit awakens and i run like the million dolor man!shishio is on my tale,so i throw rocks and keep missing,still running down hill,but then a trip and roll down,then i increase speed of realling for dear lide and shisho gets rdy to slice me in half but i roll to a side,shishio misses and rolls down the hill,sword cuts him in the chest,he regains balance and i start running uphill,sdano and the others watching the strange,pale skined kid whith strange cloths being chased by shishio,shishio make the finale blow,and a fall back,missing but roll on shishio down the hill again,they others still watching me,i go dehidrated and shisho gets rdy for finale strike but using my last bit of strengh,trip him (being a kid he underestamates me) and he goes tumbling down and then i fall asleep for 14 hours,shisho gets overheaterd and explodes,and i die of heat stroke. the end :anime:

but still there i was dead,floating in the air while the others where comming after me,i then remebered what i did and what happened whith me and that mummy like dude. i think those other guys where comming because they were his worphipers or something.i lept into my body and on the 4th time i got inside.the others were coming for me at top speeds. i looked around,i was about 40 ft away from the door,so i sprinted upward towards the area,if i was to survive some strange killer guys in robes i had to act quickly. to bad i cant speak or understand japenese. i kept running,they kept fallowing,i believe the red haired man was thier leader. 8 feet more to the door!it was locked! it was a dead end for me!and no comming back!

You know, those real-live inserts aren't as badly put in as in Trust & Betrayal, but it still stands out.

It is her grave, yes, but she isn't mentioned by name. In the manga, the events during the Revolution weren't explained until the Jinchuu arc. The stuff in these episodes was basically setting up that story.

Those weren't his parents, but slave traders. The three girls that begged the bandits not to kill him were buried by Kenshin himself in a field, not in the city. The grave in this episode was for one person, it's absolutely Tomoe's

That was one of the possibilities I thought of when I first saw the episode too, but no, the person in the grave was in fact Tomoe
Y'know, the Kyoto Arc is like a really good book. You never want it to end. :( *sigh* It was so good.
And I love the part where Misao is shaking Kaoru and Kaoru goes all swirly-eyed. I need to find a screenshot of that scene. :D

A few moments later the Revenge Arc starts and the s*** hits the fan. It should have been animated, but someone got shot in the head and they decided to skip it. Just goes to show you that retardation can be passed through osmosis.

No, they wanted to wait untill the manga was finished before they started on that arc so that they wouldn't spoil the fans and so they wouldn't have to change the ending.
Didn't Kenshin, at the end of Betrayal, bury Tomoe in the same field as his "adoptive parents"? Or did he just hang her scarf there?
so if they were slave traders, doesn't that mean he was a slave? why else whould they keep em if he wasn't. but i wounder,why did the bandits spare the kid? not very bandit-like to hold up a promise. wounder what was the use of kilen em though. they coulda used them as slaves or for spending the money, startigests, merchant wise buisness, other bandits, ect. then again,maybe thier boss was an idiot.

No, she wasn't his owner. He killed her fiance. She and Kenshin later started a relationship, although it started with her wanting revenge I think.
Another thing, he said the person in the grave was someone that he killed himself ten years ago. Therefore it couldn't be his parent's, real or adopted, as he didn't kill them. And the fact that he killed them ten years ago tells you that it was during the revolution. My best guess is it is Tomoe.
Since its late, I was just thinking that it took over 100 and some days to air 15 ep. Imagine if Kenshin would of stayed on Toonami, the arc would of been finished in two weeks but instead it took 3 months. Damn that was one hell of a long time.
Oh and that was Tomoe's grave, but we just weren't suppose to know. Thats why Kenshin didn't mention words like she or hear when he was talking with his master.
i saw tonights episode (it's 11:30 at my house now) and it was kinda stale,well a bit.
it was basically just them getting redy to leave and not much was action :shrug: but there was a few cool things,such as when ms.megume was talking about how to a doctor kenshin is just a human with above average abilitys,and besides that he is no diffrent than any one else and also that if kenshin keeps getting into fight,his acumulated injuries will eventualy kill him in a fight or otherwise :eek: the funny parts were when sano spitted those nuts at yaheko's head like bullets :p and on the train sano was in the feetle pasition saying "theres no way a tea kettle can power a train!" the big disapointer though was at the end where ms.koyru just said welcome home kenshin. for the love of god, when are those two gana hook up?! :mad: yaheko thinks the same way to. :D

1. Kenshin's self-disentigration over Kauro's 'death' (Alienating himself from the gang, sitting alone in a trance-like state, mumbling words like "Go away..." and "Too Tired...").
2. Sano reuniting with his family.
3. The mini-Kenshin Kenji!
Does the OVA Seikoden feature anything of reason 1?

Tomoe wasn't Kenshin's real wife. They were involved in a fake marriage while Kenshin's allies fought, though the two started to love each other. They were going to be married for real, but then, well, you know.

I thought last night's episode was visually beautiful! My favorite scene was Kenshin's praying moment in the rain when he lifted his head up to the sun that had just parted the gray sky and flung the raindrops from his hair. The scattering raindrops were visually stunning. The rainbow was such a nice touch, too. :anime:

I watched the episode last night and thought it was great. Then I watched Trust and Betrayal after that (I had just gotten them yesterday afternoon) and then watched the episode again. It just made it that much better. The grave scene was really touching (I was still crying from the end of Betrayal, so that didn't help:sweat:. I had a teary night last night, lol). It was a really nice episode, a nice way to tie up Kyoto. I still can't believe it's over, I want more!
Nice screenshots Sampo!! I especially like the one with Kenshin holding a hand to his scar.

I think that's basically symbolic imagery, with her scarf hanging on his sword. The final scene in the field is just a "back-to-where-it-all-began" kind of scene.
I also knew it was Tomoe's grave because Kenshin said "It's been ten years..."
do not worry peoples who are scared that rorunie kenshin is over,for you see,thnx to wc3,i bring spoilers,and for people who arnt going to read em,dont worry,there is still much more than i typed.
After beating shishio, i find a bunch of dogs, posted as "killer dogs" and a big boss called the dog watcher :confused: dont know what that is. anywas, you can exspect a good fight when this episode comes around. next after a good ole doggy beat down, i encounter 2 guys,one called chain,and the other is hammer, and they have a small army force, of about 15 army people. After them i found 36 power ups. and i would need em because in a small water bed (probibly a lake) and see 3 things that call themselfs deciples and thier leader is kaioh. and so you know,they were very very strong,so that explanes the power ups. that and they could summon bandits, so i believe them and a bunch of bandits lept out to asassinate him for something, really though, i dont know why they are attacking, maby the battosi is taking matters into his own hands again. After deafeating them, i walked on and says something about Amukusa Shougo is past the "Holly Hills"(whatever that is :confused: ) As a past the bandit-infested woods i find the exit. Then what do i find? a huge angry mob consisting of villagers and army men.took awhile to beat em though. then i encounter 2 men. one is called left hand and the other is left hand. they must be fallowers of Amakusa Shougo. after deafeting them i walk on and what do i find? i find the Amakusa Shougo. He calls himself the "Son of God". besides that i make my move. and it the wrong move. he must have some kind of super-natual power cause he soul gemmed me :mad: . and that was a atomatic game over cause i only have one heroe :( so thats all there really is to say

Sure, I can give it a shot. But I don't think it will make a good avatar as some of the details might be too small to show up when shrunk.
BTW, I am glad everyone here is enjoying the screen caps :D Ah pitty Ruroni Kenshin is about over. I guess next week (?) will be the last time I'll be making screen grabs for Kenshin.

It's Tomoe because Kenshin says something about "the one he killed with his own hands." The bandits killed the slave traders and Hiko killed the bandits so it isn't any of them.
um, the sieries isn't over. there is much more to RK still to come. much more,trust me,for when you go onto wc3, the world really opens up, and you learn things that would change your life,ok not change it by much though. basically what i am saying is
RK isn't dead yet

That whole scene, including the part after the commercial, is basically where I realised "Dear GOD, Kenshin's pretty." Rain and angsty scenes go WELL with him. *_*

I'm surprised that they left in the lines that talk about drinking. They would've cut them out if this was on Toonami, but it's edited to Toonami standards. Did they decide to edit the drinking lines back in because they knew this was going to be on at 11 pm?

Yeah, I like Megumi too. I thought the rainbow was appropriate, but I hated how everybody kept talking during the cool symphony music. There were three good pieces in there: The first piece can be heard when Megumi steps into the water, in which the second piece follows immediately after (which can also be heard at the end of last weeks episode, when Soujiro begins his journey), and the third piece, the one that also played in Kenshin's farewell scene to Kaoru, is heard near the end of this week's episode.
we need kenshin replace samurie jack on toonami. now then things would speed thingd up,and it would get more rating,and it could start from scratch and keep going with new episodes.
off subject real quick:whats with those annoying mix songs or whatever. i am sick of those dang pieces of paper or legos.

Not that I mind. I was really let down by the end of Shishio's battle (not that I didn't expect it), but I really like all the character interaction that's taking place now.
I thought they only put five episodes on a single DVD. By my count, next week's episode will make six (unless the episode in question is on the DVD right after Fire Requiem).

I liked SX except for the fact that the VAs were different. They didn't fit the characters at all, especially Yahiko's.
do not worry peoples who are scared that rorunie kenshin is over,for you see,thnx to wc3,i bring spoilers,and for people who arnt going to read em,dont worry,there is still much more than i typed.
After beating shishio, i find a bunch of dogs, posted as "killer dogs" and a big boss called the dog watcher :confused: dont know what that is. anywas, you can exspect a good fight when this episode comes around. next after a good ole doggy beat down, i encounter 2 guys,one called chain,and the other is hammer, and they have a small army force, of about 15 army people. After them i found 36 power ups. and i would need em because in a small water bed (probibly a lake) and see 3 things that call themselfs deciples and thier leader is kaioh. and so you know,they were very very strong,so that explanes the power ups. that and they could summon bandits, so i believe them and a bunch of bandits lept out to asassinate him for something, really though, i dont know why they are attacking, maby the battosi is taking matters into his own hands again. After deafeating them, i walked on and says something about Amukusa Shougo is past the "Holly Hills"(whatever that is :confused: ) As a past the bandit-infested woods i find the exit. Then what do i find? a huge angry mob consisting of villagers and army men.took awhile to beat em though. then i encounter 2 men. one is called left hand and the other is left hand. they must be fallowers of Amakusa Shougo. after deafeting them i walk on and what do i find? i find the Amakusa Shougo. He calls himself the "Son of God". besides that i make my move. and it the wrong move. he must have some kind of super-natual power cause he soul gemmed me :mad: . and that was a atomatic game over cause i only have one heroe :( so thats all there really is to say
just repeating what i said.that and the fact that this is my 100 post!i scored 100 post in 3 days! a new record!

The Christian Arc does NOT start next week. There are a few (four, if memory serves) filler episodes first. It's been a while, but I think the episode from next week was actually in the manga.

About Samurai X:
Samurai X IS Rurouni Kenshin. However, it was dubbed under a different company, and when it came out in the U.S. (before the anime boom), they called it Samurai X so that more people would be interested in it. I believe Sony dubbed that one.
For those who want to know, there are four pieces to Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal (take place before the series), the movie (takes place a bit after the Kyoto Arc IIRC), and Reflection (occurs after the series ends).
Anyway, ADV now owns the rights to Samurai X (instead of Media Blasters, who owns the TV series), and has given them reversible covers that say "Rurouni Kenshin" on them.
BTW, I've seen the movie, and it's not that great. It was pretty boring.

I definately recommend seeing Trust & Betrayal. Be warned though, it's quite bloody and very graphic. Oh, and Wanderer Kenshin is nowhere to be seen. Dunno about Reflection, but the movie is moderately decent.

The "freeze" could be because you are not using a proper program to open up and edit these animated GIFs? The program I use is Animation Shop 3 which was bundled with my copy of Paint Shop Pro 7.
As for the still pics, I could make em Toon Zone friendly. Will post links later after I work on the Big O screen grabs. Not sure if I will have the time after that though as I gotta wake up early next morning.

2. Everybody knows there's more RK, and they're all done and dubbed. What people are talking about is if CN will get around to it. RK won't be returning back to Toonami because RK doesn't attract enough of the core Toonami audience. So if RK repeats in SVES, that's another 60+ (if from the ep #1) or 30+ (if from the Kyoto arc) weeks of waiting. That's a long time; who knows if CN is still interested in the final Meiji arc by then? Plus, the Meiji arc is not based on the manga anyway (so irrelevant to the overall story), and at the end it got so bad that it was cancelled in Japan with an ep left unaired and no true ending whatsoever.
3. While the Trust and Betrayal OVAs occur before the TV series, the movie occurs after the Kyoto arc yet not based on the manga, so treat it like those DBZ movies. :p
4. For those few who don't know yet, the grave Kenshin visited means a lot to him obviously. While I won't spoil it for you, here's more about it: ;)
Another thing, he said the person in the grave was someone that he killed himself ten years ago. Therefore it couldn't be his parent's, real or adopted, as he didn't kill them. And the fact that he killed them ten years ago tells you that it was during the revolution. My best guess is it is Tomoe.
Plus, he was touching his X-scar while visiting the grave.
(I think that's too vague to be a spoiler, so I let it be. :D )

So this is it for the Kyoto Arc. Aagh, I really want to see the rest of the series, even though people have mentioned that it isn't as good. I can deal with filler if that's all it is. This show has just as much awesome comedy as it does action. On to this last episode...it was a rather touching one. Glad to see everyone made it home alright, although Kaoru more loss copped out by saying "Welcome Home" to Kenshin. I think I even saw Aoshi smile in this episode. Well, if reruns are all were getting next week, then I'll enjoy those as well.

Solid ending to the Kyoto Arc.
It seems like almost every time Megumi and Kaoru get together, Megumi is lecturing Kaoru on taking care of Kenshin and such. Poor Megumi.
Sano blaming Yahiko for them being lost was classic... also Sano waving goodbye to Misao from the train with his fish skeleton thing he chews on was also classic... I see he also hasn't gotten over his train thing.
The old man going all wacky when he and Misao were talking to Kaoru about a party was hysterical.
Good ol' Hiko. Knows how to make an impact on an episode when he's only on for about 30 seconds.
Darn Saito, can't be soft for one minute... at least he lives.
Overall an A. For an episode with basically no action at all, it was done well and left me satisfied with the Kyoto arc. Hearing that next week is the last new episode, disappoints me since it's been new kenshin for a few months now.
