You mean the episode is not about Wonder Woman's solo adventure of receiving temporary amnesia, dressing up as a French maid, and flinging her red go-go boots at the criminal element for 45-50 minutes?

Man, I loved the cartoon of the Tick.
"SPOON!"
Sometime I need to rent the live-action TV show DVD and see if it was any good. Oh, I'm not going to give anything away ( like most of you don't know already ) but Batman is going to get some good airtime in this too.

that's so cool that diana tried to go incognito .... more or less. and it's funny how she got called now 'wonder woman' by the media.. sure will beat being called 'diana' unless someone goes a rampaging and yells 'cameraman, nooo' in a future episode and her help is needed FAST.
villian, with gun, 'permission, yes', .... SO funny.
about time we saw bruce wayne without his batman suit.. :) AND wonder woman more or less civilian clothed..
...feet of clay.. heh .. 'you have no idea'.
and one dude tried to say something about batman not being able to understand him in the dude's own language but batman said he could .... and he made the dude talk anyway. :D
.. oh no.. it's vandal savage!! :( (hides) eep! ...that vox guy .. now that's a cool villian , too. no wonder he needs a box just to talk normal considering what comes out of his wide open mouth..)
innuendo, huh? i guess jl will be for a semi-mature audience this season... and if they want to air it in toonami they'll probably cut it out for the kids... hmmm.. someone think the hong kong airings of this in chinese is just as full of innuendo?

When Diana said they should keep the more embarrassing parts of the night a secret, what was Audrey's reply? Sounded like something about Diana having 'feet of clay' or something...hard to hear with this horrendous sound.
Also, Vandal Savage appears = episode becomes 3x better.

Well there's the french maid unifrom, since you wanted it so bad. I still don't see a spoon though.
Still no spoon reference. They can still make me happy if Vandal's big plan involves writing his name in the moon with that giant pea shooter.
Diana looks freaky without her tiara. And I thought she went everywhere in her star-spangled swimsuit.
That dance confirms that WW doesn't know about Bruce Wayne.
Is it just me, or is the audio quality...bad?
Where DID WW get that dress, and how much did it set Bruce back?
WW reminds me of a flying Xena tonight. Which means she'll have a lesbian affair with Hawkgirl.
Hehe, love the banter between WW & the Princess.
I don't trust the Princess.
Liked the Bats theme there when he appeared.
That interrogation was AWESOME!
POOP! That was hilarious for no reason!
WW clubbin. Never thought I'd see it happen.
She found those guys quick. Of course, they're probably gay. (No offense to anyone.)
I wanna see what these "embarrassing moments" are.
Guess WW WAS made out of clay after all.
Question: Where's everyone else?
I REALLY don't trust Audrey.
I KNEW Savage was gonna appear! I could tell from the Nazi-esque soldiers at the beginning.
Damn, Savage is smooth, ain't he? Nice lines.
Methinks the wine was like oil in Samurai Jack, a replacement for blood.
You know, that building reminds me of an episode of the original TMNT, when Shredder took over a similar building to get a crystal from a Princess.
Geez, at least show some dirt or scratches on WW's face after being dragged into the dirt like that.
Liked the way Diana opened up Part II
God, the producers need to let the Futurama guys do the CG from now on.
GASP! Good looking fire! Amazing!
Love the music montage. I love that technique.
Audrey needs a *****slap.
Eh, a giant plasma gun is better than a giant slingshot.
Flash has a point. They'd save the hostages anyway.
Why doesn't GL use his ring to steer the ship?
You know, Batman really needs to stop wasting his money like this...
So, Savage has insta-healing. Coolness. This guy is much more dangerous than Ra's Al Ghul and Lex Luthor.
Flash has some good jokes in Part II.
Yay! More cool bendy tricks from J'honn!
Flash got back to normal quick?
Shouldn't the shockwave be hurting WW's ears? Never Mind.
I love how Bats just kicked Vandal away. Even though this is the first time the two have met. Now Vandal will see just how much mojo Bats has. Or not.
I give it 2 months before Vandal breaks free.
So Diana does know his identity. Guess it has something to do with him not disguising his voice anymore. And more moments for the Bats/Diana fans.
Thus ends the play-by-play post from He...err...Hades.

Okay, I thought the episode was decent. Despite the fact that it wasn't as epic as "The Savage Time", it was a alright episode. There were only a few glaring problems.
-Flash falling out into space. Aren't you suppose to die instantly when sucked into space?
-Why did Batman aim for Casnia? He could've aimed it at the Pacific Ocean. Sure it would destroy the controls for the new ISS, but my opinion that it's a problem stems from the fact that I did not see Audrey's father evacuate as well. Seems to me that Batman broke his no-killing policy and forgot all about the father.
-The 3-d effects.... I don't know why I find them a problem, but I've been so used to the vehicles being traditional 2-d.

-One of the soldiers was seen carrying out the king as they were fleeing.

I may be crucified for this, but Flash going, "ooh," after going on a punching spree actually elicited a chuckle from me.
But that didn't compare to tonight's biggest laugh, Vandal Savage RISING FROM THE GRAVE RARRRWWRRAAAAWRRR!
The episode was mediocre. It was watchable and I didn't find myself particuarly averse to it, but generally it didn't really impress. And I think there were some mildly serious logic and scientific holes, oh well.
I wonder why Savage didn't target Washington D.C., if he wants to rule the world, he has to cow the U.S.A.. Besides, this is principly for an American audience. What the deuce would most of them care about France anyway? (note that I do not share the common American antipathy toward France and nor do I intend for that last statement to be taken seriously...people are so dense these days)
I do have a complain though. Unless I miss my mark, Casnian was just gibberish. It's not hard to find a capable conlanger or even to make a sketch grammar. I'd think the writers would have the time and resources to put some effort into giving the world of Justice League some vermissilitude. Heck, I know at least ten people who could have put together a nice Slavic-like tongue for them. Hell, I could have.
What can I say, we language geeks need to vent some times.
Anyway, linguistic laziness aside, this was par for the course.

Decent episode, nasty physics.
-You can survive for about 30 seconds, if that. Of course, I believe that's if you hold your breath first and plug up your holes.
Actually, I think holding your breath would be a very *bad* thing to do... Unless you wanted to become a human balloon. If it is possible to survive in a vacuum for even a short time, you'd still have to deal with your flesh swelling, your blood boiling, and whatnot. The tissue damage would kill you shortly after.
Then there's the railgun... which would technically only work with metallic space debris. The meteoroids thrown looked much too small to survive a trip through the earth's atmosphere, but appeared to be 99% of their original mass before impact... at which point they could have been considered massive, yet they dealt so little damage, a barrel of everyday explosives would have been more cost effective.
Diamond earplugs... someone must have forgotten that denser materials conduct sound better than porous materials such as... actual earplugs.

Savage Comes Back And This Times Marries a Princess in the Justice League "Maid Of Honor, Part One and Two" Episode Review.
Hmmm, odd how the first part only had Batman and Wonder Woman alone. I had heard about this episode online so a lot of it was spoiled for me. Like Bruce Wayne Dancing with Diana, or the return of Vandal Savage, or Diana befriending that foriegn princess. And between this and the previews for JL's newest season, the only real surprise was at the end where WW basically tells Batman she know he's Bruce Wayne and ows her a dance. Lot of intresting scenes here. And I may be in the minorty, but I liked Diana partying with the Princess scenes the most for some reason. The rest seemed like generic JL scenes, which they kinda were. Anyway, this is a good average B+ episode.

When Diana said they should keep the more embarrassing parts of the night a secret, what was Audrey's reply? Sounded like something about Diana having 'feet of clay' or somethingThat's pretty much what Audrey said; that she wouldn't let anyone know about Diana's "feet of clay;" meaning, basically, that Diana is more "human" than should would appear.
Diana's reply was something along the lines of "You have no idea ..." Obviously a reference to the fact the Diana was created from a clay sculpture.

It wasn't German, it was "Casnian", which I'll wager was just gibberish with vague phonological unity.
I sonder if I can find a transcription or script and analyze what they were saying. Believe it or not, it would be fun.

i dont see how that was posible, for he wouln't of chocked,he would of been sucked from the insides out because space is a vacum, but like if he was holding on to something that would make mofr sene cause for a small duration the air would still be there, stoping the vacume sequence.

Bruce and Diana get some time together without their costumes. Savage builds a large rail gun and rocks planet Earth with asteroids.
The stuff about being spaced without a space suit. A "visual" example of this can be found in the science fiction/horror movie Event Horizon. When the deranged "Little Bear" goes spacewalking without a spacesuit. Pretty nasty and grusome fate, even if you survive it. Dunno how Flash avoided it. *shurg*

I had a feeling that the "Maid of Honor" title had something to do with a wedding.
As much as I hate Toonami now (they're taking Jack off at 5.5 and putting these guys back in!!!), I'll have to catch this ep in the reruns, just to see if that pain-in-the-bee-hind Princess really went through with marrying Vandal Savage.

It wouldnt be as accurate as the show shows (The things arent perfect spheres so the magnetic field is going to effect each one differently), but it should work. As for the damage estimate...that would depend on the mass when it impacted. Anyone want to do some physics equations? :D

Here's my 2 Donuts about these two episodes of JL.
It was great seeing Bruce and Diana get some time together without their costumes. It was pretty hillarious watching Bruce helping himself to a drink while Diana pummeled those kidnapers. Also it was amusing watching Batman act ignorant when Diane hinted that she knew his secret.
That spacestation was HIDEOUS. Either the design was a bad choice or the CGI made it look even worse. Although that rail gun was a nice piece of work. It was ODD that the normal crew did not notice all that hardware being installed for that gun. As for that rail gun/mass driver. The last time I saw one being used on a show was Babylon 5. *snif* Damn I miss that show. During a scene Centauri ships were parked in orbit above Narn prime and bombarded the planet with similar looking weapons. Nasty stuff... Hmm, I also wonder where Savage found a near by asteroid belt for ammo...
I am kinda glad they excluded Superman from these two episodes. He could have either easily stopped the incoming asteroid or smashed that gun with no problems.
Watching Flash choke on vaccuum was sorta funny. I still don't get why he didn't suffer any bad side effects. Meh. Thank you Iridium128 for the link.
Seeing Batman and Wonderwoman go against that small army during that wedding cermony was a nice touch.
well i may not be some physiscs genois, but i do think that maybe the air that came out woulda kept the vacume of space at bay for awhile, and then of course the small graveatational pole that the space station gave also might have deflected the vacume to for awhile,i mean it has to have one to have meteators come in contact, yet weak enough not to send them crashing into it. so flash would have been safe from the vacume of safe for about 36 seconds

Well, Bruce wouldn't mind giving Diana the spoon. ;)
Wonder what Diana meant by embarrassing parts that night with the Princess? :D
At least Savage got some, and a princess at that. Like the Princess said, imagine if she produced an heir from that unholy union.
And Bruce and Batman are like multiple personality syndrome. Bruce was all flirty, even with a demi-goddess like Diana. But when Batman, it's like "whatcha talkin' 'bout, Willis?!" like he doesn't get aroused and such. :D
Although smart, Diana can be so naive about relationships sometimes, like a countrygirl living for the first time in the big city. Never thought of it before, but she can dress in eye-catching outfits (like her WW costume) and not blink an eye about it either way (never thinking it sexy nor too revealing). Or maybe it's that unspoiled mind that makes her cute to watch. :anime:
