Well during the summer vacation, I procastinated on my Psychology AP Summer Homework. So when the day before school opened, I did all the work from like 1 pm to 10 pm. It was a rush job so I thought my first grade is going to be really really bad.... So let's jump to today. Our AP teacher gave our Summer Homework back to us. To my surprise I got 98 out of 100 and it'll count as test grade.    I was in total shock and lucky. In the end of class the teacher told us that he wasn't pleased on how the class did on summer homework because most people failed...
But this is not the first time this type thing happened to me like if I procastinate on project then I would do an awesome grade in the end. But if I take my time I do HW then I'll get a worse...
So has this ever happened to any of you guys here. :)

When I was in middle school that happen to me. I tended to be a procrastinator back then (well more of one then today) and ended up getting really good grades sometimes when I did work at the last minute. That didn't really happen in high school though (then again I did tend not to do it as much) so I guess it just depends on the type of person you are, whether you do work better when you have time to really do it or do it better the last minute.

Quite frequently, especially on papers. The thing is, it really depends on the state of my mind when I'm doing it. Sometimes I just get in a mental zone where everything is clear and comes out right. Sometimes it's because you hit the teacher with the right notes considering his or her mood at the time he or she is grading it.
I often feel when I have too much time to do things, my mind tends to wander and stray, and often it shows in my work. When I'm forced to work in the crunch, I have no choice but to dedicate my full concentration to the work. It's not good work ethic, but I like it...

Last year in my English class, on my first two essays, I spent a good amount of time on them and got a C and a C+. For my third, I just slammed something out in two hours the night before and got an A. I did the same on my fourth essay and got a C+.

For my Global History class in college I didn't read our assigned novels until about 4 days before the papers on them were due. I read the book for three days straight and on the fourth I wrote the paper.
The teacher was supposed to be a complete freak about papers, people even call him the "grammar nazi" and he even agrees when he talks about it in lectures.
Anyway, on one I got an A and on the other I got an A-.
I procrastinate all the time. It works, for the most part, at least for me. I just get in a certain frame of mind and kick the stuff out.
